I noticed that Stav's signature changed recently, i.e. the bhp and torque figures went up. Is this perhaps worthy of its own thread to discuss where the improvements came from ?

Could it be a sticky calliper ? What was wrong with your previous brake pads/discs ? I wonder if they were knackered because of a sticking calliper ?

Unfortunately this is a very common problem with these head units. If you buy another one from someone else, there's no guarantee that it will stay working for long. Similarly, Lexus could fix it for you, but it would be at a high price and will probably just go wrong again at some point. Your best bet is to buy a new aftermarket head unit, at least it will have a guarantee and should be reliable (if you buy a decent one). See the Audio/Video forum for details on how to replace your head unit.

Don't think they should be very dim Stav, mine aren't. Sounds like the bulbs in yours are on their way out. The lights are very dim for my door lock button and driver's side window, similarly I suspect those need replacing. -
Futzy, have a look in the "Supercharger and Turbo Modifications" sub-forum, there are several threads there showing the progress on some of those supercharger projects mentioned above.

Yep, Apple would be selling the ones with round wheels. And they'd have special roads that only the round-wheeled vehicles would be allowed to go on, they wouldn't allow the new vehicles to go to the same places as the old ones even though people wanted them to. You'd have to follow Apple's way of using the new vehicles.

Erm, I was responding to Tyger's post where he said : Bluetooth is far from "irrelevant" for file transfers, it's the way that loads of people do it. I never said that buying an iPhone wasn't a choice, so I'm not sure why you brought that up.

Windows XP ok, so Windows Movie Maker isn't going to be able to handle the HD. Not sure your friend is going to be able to do much for free with HD video. There are various free conversion utilities as has been said, I've used SUPER myself (although not for this same purpose). You could try something like Virtualdub which does conversions and could be used for some basic editing (e.g. splitting the video into sections). If your friend has an HD camcorder, then why not invest in some proper editing software so as to be able to make full use of it ?

Does the car start ok ? Does it battery seem to hold a charge ok ? When you say it struffles in locking/unlocking, what do you mean, what happens ?

What version of Windows does your friend have ? Vista Premium and Ultimate editions have a version of Windows Movie Maker that can import HD video.

Yep, typical Apple way to look at things : "We don't care how you might do things at the moment, *this* is the *best* way to do things so that's the only way we're going to let you do it". i.e. don't worry that lots of people use Bluetooth to send files, force it have to be done by other methods, even if you don't use that (e.g. email).

Would the nose perhaps be the easiest way to judge that ? i.e. a quick sniff (lol) ? I would have thought that if it was mainly steam it would be pretty odourless, but smoke would smell more of oil/fuel ? Or is it not as simple as that ?

shouldn't knock with the tein topmounts (?) Yeah but I think what Dan was getting at was that coolrides was saying that he didn't get any knocking, even though he didn't have (as far as I'm aware) the Tein top mounts. -
