  1. Sorry to be pedantic, but the "A" and "S" are for Asymmetric and Symmetric.
  2. Not sure if this is a joke that I can't figure out , but that sounds like Chinese, it's not Japanese.
  3. If the mechanical part was totally broken, then it wouldn't work at all, no. But it might not be totally broken, it might just be getting stuck sometimes, so that it varies whether it works or not. It's digital systems that are either working or not. With an anologue system like motors that move parts along another part, there's a wide range between working and not.
  4. I'm pretty sure there are at least two different fogs - early IS200 ones and later IS200 ones. I assume that the IS300 used the later IS200 ones, but I don't know for sure.
  5. Please excuse my lack of understanding on this issue, but can't you get your windscreen re-sealed to stop it happening ?
  6. "Iridium Tough" seems to be a different line from Denso compared to the usual "Iridium Power", and are designed for longer distances. See this link So the OEM plugs are SK20, the Iridum Power plugs are IK20, and the Iridium Tough plugs are VK20.
  7. Have you had your windscreen replaced recently ? Water getting into the electrics for the auto sensor can seem to cause this sort of problem.
  8. I think that the K&N filter is well worth the money. It won't need replacing in the future (just cleaning, it pretty much lasts forever). It basically will let your engine breathe more easily because it lets more air through. It only takes a couple of minutes to fit. However, it's not really going to make your car go faster (perhaps a 1-2bhp increase, something like that ?). It may well slightly improve your fuel economy and it makes a very slightly more "growly" sort of engine note. I fitted IK20 plugs since my plugs needed changing anyway. I didn't really notice any change in performance though.
  9. That sounds like a suspension brace perhaps, not an anti-roll bar. I don't know if that's standard on the RS200 but I tend to doubt it, I would guess that someone has added that. I don't think the RS200 has any sort of upgraded ARB as standard from the factory, but one of our Altezza experts may be able to say more. As edeath said, check out the links to old threads on this subject. I asked the same question recently and there was quite a big discussion on the subject. After all the input from others I went with the C-One ARBs and I am *very* happy with them ! :D
  10. Check out this diagram which shows some of the relevant cables etc. Might be worth checking everything's plugged in properly. You're right that the air filter is very easy and just comes straight out (and back in again). Might also be worth checking for any debris that might have fallen into the throttle body during this process ?
  11. Wozza has the TTE bars. They were discontinued a while back, so are very hard to get hold of. Although TDi did have a single set in stock relatively recently.
  12. The air filter fits over the throttle body though, which is where the connectors from the accelerator pedal go, so the air filter is very close to important stuff related to the pedal. I wonder if you could have accidentally dislodged something ?
  13. I just thought, will there be a problem using LEDs for indicators, since they'll have lower resistance and perhaps make the flasher circuit flash a lot faster ? I suspect it'll need some sort of load resistor.
  14. Heh. I think they'd look even better if you had LEDs for your actual indicators. Right now your LED strip goes instantly on and off, as LEDs do, but the bulb glows and fades (as bulbs do). So the timing doesn't look quite in sync, as it were (unless that's something to do with the filming). I haven't tried LEDs in indicators, but I would have thought you could get something that was bright enough.
  15. Was it one of those private parking companies ? Was it just a notice on the windscreen that was designed to look like a fixed penalty notice ? These fines are pretty much unenforceable, all they can legally force you to pay is the cost of your overstaying, e.g. a few pounds. Hopefully you didn't talk to them and admit guilt etc. Check out this thread P.S. I voted for you anyway :winky:
  16. Pretty sure that batteries from Lexus dealers are quite reasonably priced too.
  17. I haven't used it myself, but I believe it's the latter.
  18. Is it "I'm through with standing in line to clubs we'll never get in" ? If so that's Nickelback, and you clearly want to be a rock star Tony ! :D
  19. Ooh, I didn't read some of the preceding posts correctly, I thought it was just the TTE airbox you were fitting and keeping the Lysholm in there. So you had to swap to the TTE charger ? Ah well, at least you're charged for now, should be even better when they can quieten down the Lysholm !
