  1. I don't know if it's possible to program keys on the RX300 in a similar way to the IS200. If so, then I'd be inclined to delete all the additional keys programmed to the master key, and add the other keys back in. If someone else has got a key, then it won't work any more after that.
  2. The black box might do a bit more, but if it's unreliable and a *lot* more expensive, is it really worth it ? Surely best to save your money for something like the Emanage Ultimate that Stav has mentioned ?
  3. I would have thought that there's a much bigger chance the previous owner kept one of the keys and someone is using that ?
  4. Just use some sticky pads, no point in drilling IMHO. Or you could even use velcro sticky pads.
  5. I very much doubt that the wheel itself has bent, at least not on its own, I think that the suspension would bend first under impact before the wheel rim.
  6. Getting fed up with the lack of music in my car now, really must get my act together on this. Will almost certainly get that Pioneer double-din unit (same as Johnboy, not the DVD one). John, did you get yours fitted yet ?
  7. Prolex have now started doing SPAX lowering springs (25mm drop) for £132.
  8. Woah, so the cam belt failed after only 40/45K ? That sounds like more than bad luck. I wonder if the tensioner/idler pulleys weren't changed when the belt was changed previously, leaving worn components to prematurely wear the new belt ?
  9. Doh, I should have read point three properly ! I was having some fun revving my engine yesterday too :D
  10. You hate the handling ? Has your car had the WIM treatment ? If not, it will make a massive improvement :winky:
  11. Yeah you need to check whether your insurance covers your mods "like for like". It's one thing to have your car insured with the mods on, but it doesn't necessarily mean that if those mods are damaged that the insurers will pay for them, as Aido says. I believe that Sky Insurance (LOC trader) *do* cover mods like for like.
  12. What Rob said :winky: Specifically check out this thread on Detailing World, which shows how you can calculate how much snow foam solution you need to put into your foam lance to arrive at the manufacturer's recommended ratio. All combinations of washers/foam lances/water supplies will deliver different amounts of foam, which is why you need to do the calculation show there.
  13. I imagine most people would think an integrated satnav would be a lot harder to sell down the pub than something like a TomTom, so probably wouldn't bother with it.
  14. I know what you mean, I was gutted when mine went, and as you say it's a pretty decent unit. But then I started looking around and saw I could get a new unit with lots of great features like Bluetooth, iPod control, etc, etc. I'm starting to be glad it went wrong now ! :D
  15. It's knackered mate, get an aftermarket replacement. You could try fixing it but it'll probably just go wrong again in the near future. Similarly if you buy a replacement OEM unit it'll only be a matter of time before it goes ERR3 again. I'm in exactly the same position as you, currently there's a big hole in my dash where my head unit used to be. If you buy a new aftermarket unit it'll at least come with a full warranty. Check the Audio/Video forum for details of how to connect up an aftermarket unit, fascia, cables etc.
  16. Are you sure it didn't just say 250 degrees and it meant Farenheit (bearing in mind the Americans use Farenheit) ?
  17. I did a walkthrough on this :winky:
  18. I would put the WD40 on, leave it for a couple of minutes to soak in and try scraping off the residue, and applying a bit more WD40 as you go. I haven't tried it with WD40 but I did pretty much the same thing on my sticky pads with the AG Tar Remover. I have successfully used WD40 to remove sticker residue from a car window before though, worked pretty well.
  19. Yep I used the AG stuff too to remove old sticky pad residue. You could try WD40, that'll probably work too.
  20. Not sure that a product needs a health warning just because it has a certain amount of acidity. Just because it doesn't have an acid symbol on it doesn't mean that it's not acidic. If a product was neat acid then yes, I'm sure it would have a label on it saying so, no-one is saying Wonder Wheels is neat acid, but it is acidic in nature and you have to be *very* careful how you use it.
  21. Can't help you with the satnav, sorry, but resetting the ECU is explained here
  22. Where did you get that picture of me from ?
  23. Why does he want to charge you £60 for your plugs (presumably six ?) when four plugs on that listing are £35 plus £3.50 ?
