    Again thanks folks. I'm looking at either an F sport or other top spec version. Hopefully a 2012, 2013 or even 2014. Would happily consider any 450h but am not a fan of silver. Anyone know why Lexus haven't put the F sports front fog lights in the same place as the other models...... in fact, where are they!?

    Having owned Lexus' for the last 10 years, in considering the GS450h (2013/2014) for my next vehicle. Does anyone have anything from experience that is worth me knowing. Faults, flaws etc to look out for? ive not had a hybrid before, should I be concerned about battery life? Thanks

    Thanks for your input buddy. I sent him a couple of questions earlier and would concur with you view that something doesn't add up. I asked him for the number of his solicitor friend who he's selling the car on behalf of........ as a car enthusiast of course. He has declined..... and I thought he might. 😜 Theres also a worrying years gap in mot history and front tyres which had worn out after 15k miles. Very odd.

    Hi Chris. You'll get a massive range of views with regard to colour. I owned a Mesa Red ISF and it was stunning. The colour is amazing in the flesh and so much better than it looks in photos. In my opinion it's the best colour to have and has the scarcity factor too. That said, the ISF looks great in any of the colours. Personally though, I think it's least impressive in silver. Somehow that colour makes it look boring. As I said, just one persons opinion.

    I took out the extended warranty for my IS250. The car has increasingly developed a problem under braking where it pulses as it stops. Feels like the brakes are being applied then released. I am pretty sure this is down to a warped disc. Question is, would this be covered under the warranty.

    Thanks Steve. Keeping my old IS which I've had from new so it's only a 'goodbye' to my ISF friends. I'll be checking in regularly in the IS forum. 😜

    My days as an ISF owner are coming to an end as I use the funds to buy a Motorhome but I didnt want to go without saying a thanks and goodbye for the time being to my friends on here. Take care guys and stay safe. Im sure Ill be back in the not too distant future.

    It's probably worth a mention though I would have thought if it was a standard torque setting, more people would be having trouble. Ill be mentioning it next time I'm in there.

    Thanks lads. Think I've got to the bottom of it. Thankfully no wire chewing involved. Looks like the negative battery terminal wasn't as tight as it could have been so Pete, chalk that one up to you! All seems to be ok again now but I am left wondering how Lexus didn't rumble that last year. 😳

    Hi Steve. Thanks for responding. When I say the cooling fan stays on, I don't mean just after I've switched the engine off. I mean it's on 3 hours later and that's even if I only had the engine on for 10 seconds! Battery is brand new and fully charged. The car did the same thing last year. Took it into Lexus who couldn't find anything wrong with it and it didn't do it again for the rest of the summer. Said they hadn't done anything with the car and therefore had no idea why it had happened in the first place.

    Strange small issue with my ISF and wondered if anyone's got any ideas on a fix. After storing it all winter in the garage and despite being on a trickle charger, the battery went flat. On fitting a new battery, when the engine has been switched off for a while the brake lights mysteriously come on and stay on. This happens whilst the car is locked and I just can't work out what's happening. Occasionally the cooling fan stays on as well but not always. Any ideas folks?

    If you're planning on keeping the car cleaned and polished you can't beat the red and blue. They are in a different class to all other colours. Simply stunning. If you can't keep up the cleaning regime go with silver. It looks pretty much ok in all states but doesn't turn heads in quite the same way when the suns shining. White and grey fall in between the two comparisons for me.

    Have sent you a private message Rich. Great decision to buy an ISF. 2 years on and I still love mine and I've been lucky enough to drive some pretty decent cars but this is by far the best.

    Like some of the others, too many to mention but I've owned an IS250SE from new in 2008 as well as my ISF. Other recent cars/bikes: AC Cobra Westfield Kawasaki Z1000 Harley Davidson :-)
