i was told (although i've not tried it myself) if you put a towel or something similar over your lights whilst having them on for a while the heat build up should dry it out.

but be very careful as you could melt the headlight.

i think mine may have had this problem as the p/s side one has a slight melt like mark.

the dont ensure the bootlid comes up straight, there only there for the resistance to hold the boot open
