  1. It is, yes - to another forum member 👌
  2. Cheers buddy. Still gutted to see it go - hopefully to someone on here which would make it slightly less painful.
  3. Now on the sale forum (£27,900). Will go on Auto Trader at some point, but I hope it goes to an enthusiast on here before I do that……
  4. Well, an important house move means I’m going to have to sell my cherished 2015 RCF. It’s the longest I’ve owned a car because it’s been simply incredible; gutted I have to part ways! I’ll probably put it on here first, but I won’t be asking silly money for it. Not many used blue ones with the TVD come up for sale, so it shouldn’t hang around too long. Usual Lexus warranty, 36k miles and just had a major service & MOT. Main 2 pictures are :)….
  5. Hello all, I would be grateful for any pointers regarding replacement RCF discs and pads. Which are the best sellers and what pads would you recommend. I’d also be interested to know if regular motor mechanics would have the equipment to replace them (not sure if special equipment is required from a Lexus dealer) as I wouldn’t do it myself. I know it’s been mentioned before, but as prices/vendors change I thought I’d raise a recent topic. Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi and welcome. I bought mine privately in Sept 20 and like others, I checked the history with the dealership and the car already had over 18 months Lexus warranty remaining so it de-risked the purchase quite a lot. If it hasn’t had its 6-year service bear in mind that costs over £900; if you don’t need the spark plugs (<60k miles) then it’s £630. Worth haggling if not. I also noticed that a few sellers were claiming ‘full service history’ but some lower mileage cars had not been serviced every year - if they haven’t then it’s not ‘full’ history. Good luck 👍
  7. Lexus Lincoln, buddy 👍
  8. Had it serviced today. Dealership agreed that the plugs did not require replacement. As was mentioned on this thread, the schedule in the service book says iridium plugs require replacement at 60k miles only and not every 6 years. £300 (ish) saved!
  9. Good shout, I’m going to stick with Lexus while I have a warranty. Mine was a driveway Queen for the previous owners - I use it as a daily!
  10. Thanks everyone. I don’t know why the plugs are so expensive but that’s what Lexus charge. Vlad, I don’t have a service plan - just a Lexus warranty. The service plan says 60k miles for the plugs (which sounds right for Iridium plugs across all other manufacture types as well), so I won’t have them changed.
  11. Thanks Colin - I thought the requirement to change the plugs, like the service, was every 6 years *or* 60k? PRT68 - given my understanding that the plugs had to be taken out to keep my warranty, I was wondering if they would be worth keeping that’s all. Lexus charge £300 for them (fitted), so I thought something so lightly used could be of use in future. I wasn’t sure to be honest, so a non-sarcastic ‘no’ would have sufficed.
  12. Hi everyone, my RCF is going in to Lexus for its 6-year service this week (the big one! ££££) and I will be having the spark plugs changed as per the schedule. My car only has 20k miles on it so do you think the plugs are worth keeping or selling? My car still has over a year of the Lexus extended warranty remaining so I’m definitely having them changed out. Your views are welcome. Cheers
  13. Welcome you won’t regret your choice. Had an ISF before, had my RCF for a couple of months and use mine as a daily (10-mile commute) - it’s amazing and still very much in love!
  14. Nice one, welcome 👍
  15. Great car choice and welcome. I would say be patient and get the spec that suits your needs. I was in a similar position, the RCF had no competition for me and I love the blue so it was my first choice. I would happily have taken other colours if the car was right though. Mine has a couple more owners than some would like, but owners is not relevant to me - as long as it’s straight, been looked after and has a proper service history, it doesn’t really matter. I was lucky to find one with very low mileage, 18 months Lexus warranty remaining and with a TVD, but mileage is not an issue with these cars if it has been looked after. in sum, get the one that fits your preferred spec and if it’s not there, wait. Good luck 👍
  16. I think the one with 6k miles was from someone on here but mine was on A/T for a couple of weeks as a private sale.
  17. The clear parts have been tinted (just film) and the windows surrounds have been de-chromed.
  18. Fortunately I don’t need 4 doors anymore 👍
  19. After reluctantly selling my ISF to a fellow member on here 4 years ago due to an overseas move, I’m back in the U.K. so I’m back in the ‘F’ fold. I bought the blue RCF that was up for sale recently with TVD and just 17k miles. It’s absolutely mint and I’m loving it! Great to be back 👍
  20. Looking great buddy. Glad I didn't have a bright light when I had it! I washed it regularly but did so using the usual scratch-reducing methods with microfibre 'sponges' - Just shows that it still all adds up!
  21. Ouch mate! They had a couple of marks anyway so it probably just pushed you towards the inevitable. 😄
  22. Glad you're having the same emotions I had with it mate. Would love to hear that exhaust but be prepared for me asking to have the car back if you do that!
  23. I'm still feeling gutted that I had to sell but glad it's gone to an enthusiast. I look forward to seeing how you get on with it mate.
