The book should tell you the change intervals.

I didn't bother with the service plan.

But can only praise the the guys at Lexus Glasgow the service is great and the staff are very friendly and helpfull.

  2. Hi Boxbrownie,

Is correct this is now a Lexus Uk fix.

I had this done just recently under warranty om my Lexus SE-L.

My dash tended to rattle when warming up from cold. Cured it by inserting a couple of strips of foam rubber between the front of the dash and the front screen.

The foam rubber is black and carefully tucked into position, it is hardly noticable.

That sounds about right, i have noticed that when cold it is worse, how did you get the strips into position?

    Thanks

  3. Hi Varde,

    Many thanks for this information.

Is their a new 07 or 08 version available yet?

    I have the 04-05 V1 disk.

Will the new updated disk include post code searching? this is a feature i miss that my tom tom has.

    Kind Regards

    Gerry

    Welcome Gerry.

To locate the Sat Nav disk, go to the boot, locate the jack and just to the right you will see a black removable panel. Behind this is the eject button for the disk.

As far as I am aware, the cheapest update disks can be found at the link below. They are genuine Lexus disks and probably much cheaper than main dealer supplied.

You will need the various serial numbers from the disk when you check if an updated version is available for you.

I have the 2006 version which has plenty of updated info but the graphics etc are no different if I remember correctly.

  4. Hello All,

I recently bought a Used 04 Lexus RX 300 SE.

So far very impressed with it.

    But have a few questions.

    1. Where is the Sat NAV Disk located and can it be removed?

    2. Do you need to upgrade the disk from Lexus? or can you purchase the update disks from other suppliers.

Sorry if these questions have been covered before and many thanks in advance for your assistance with this matter.

    Kind regards

    Gerry
