I hadn't thought of that....

I went out earlier to put some stuff in Tiff's boot and fetch a petrol receipt for exies from the front. I locked her doors and nonchalantly waltzed back indoors. A few minutes later I got an alert from Lexus Link+ to say that Tiff's boot was open. Had I really been that careless? Surely not. I raced downstairs from my office and out of the front door and yes, I had indeed left her pert bottom open to the entire world. Instead of having to make a dash to close it, wouldn't an alert like "your car's boot is open. Would you like it closed?" be nice? Maybe this is already there and I've missed it but somehow I think that's asking a bit much....

I had a white LC behind me from the A1 junction at Sacrewell to the Castor bypass this morning. I was going to beep and give a cheeky thumbs up as I let it pass after entering the dual carriageway but I looked over and the passenger appeared a little sullen. Anyone here?

I've noticed a difference between adaptive lighting with Betsy and Tiff. Tiff's seem to "roam" left and right and up and down a lot more, and even when the blue light is not on to show that adaptive lighting's in operation, I still get flashed by cars coming the other way. I'm sure it's just a form of jealousy though. Main beam on Betsy was way brighter than adaptive lighting on unlit country roads at night. Tiff seems more generous with her retina burning brightness.

I need to have words with Lexus Leicester about Tiff. I think the wiring for the rear dash cam is loose as she is rattling like a 1970's Lada. Something has definitely come adrift in the roof lining as she was as quiet as a mouse until a couple of weeks ago.

The only real difference in looks between the F Sport and the non F Sport ES is the grille and the side badges. Yes, it has bigger wheels but I've had one of each and have never really noticed the difference. I do prefer the F Sport grille however. I still feel that the F Sport instrument cluster is the dog's bits. Ride-wise, my ES F Sport was far better over bumps than my IS F Sport even though it had 19" wheels as opposed to the 18" IS F Sport wheels. Do I miss Betsy's 19" wheels on Tiff? Not really - I can still hurl Tiff round like a hooligan when we're both in the mood and I don't notice much difference. I never really got any benefit from the S+ mode either. It could be because I'm a crap driver though. I wouldn't say the ES F Sport is at all jumpy at any speeds however.

I remember faxing the then MD Stuart McCulloch back in 1999 after getting really ****** off with Marshall Cambridge. I received a letter containing an acceptance that they weren't providing the full Lexus Experience and a service voucher a few days later. Times have changed.

Tiff and I were trundling down the A1(M) and A14 this morning en route to Royston. At least two and maybe three overhead signs were saying "DON'T HOG THE MIDDLE LANE" or "KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING" but the vast majority of the middle lane hogs ignored them. As I approached one of the signs whilst in Lane 3 whilst overtaking a middle lane hog, I gave the MLH a swift toot and pointed to the overhead sign. I just got a look of "uuuuuh?" and then a flash as I pulled over to lane 1 after the overtake to prove my point. There is no reasoning with these cretins, is there?

I've noticed that Tiff is very much more cautious/nervous than Betsy was. I've had the "Brake!" warning come on more times in the month we've been together than in the whole two years that Betsy and I were an item.

Mine seems to work apart from that odd logging back in thing I mentioned the other day. Just tested it and the app asked me to accept a few terms and conditions. I bet I've jinxed it now and Tiff will get all hoyti toyti tomorrow about connections and passwords when we go for a spin.

Thanks for the responses everyone - I did think it might not be possible to disable it permanently. A faded button here we come!

My Googling skills haven't been able to turn anything up - I hope someone else has better luck as I'm intrigued!
