  1. The V6 growl as the rev counter turns orange is a thing of beauty.
  2. That's outrageous. What on Earth made you buy the car? I tell you - the next time I see someone driving an RC, I'm going to point and laugh!
  3. Electric seats without memory are a waste of time. I am reminded of the time I took my IS200 in for its first service. I went to collect it and the Receptionist took me to where it was parked. She was very petite and not much over 5' tall. I'm about 5'10" and I like pies. She had parked my car. It took at least five minutes for the seat to whirr back far enough for me to fit my racing snake figure behind the steering wheel. Not having memory seats is exactly why I do not let my wife drive my car. I wouldn't let her anyway, but I've got the seat where i want it and I'm not going to have her faffing about with it.
  4. As Delboy would say, "you know it makes sense". Come on, dive in to the world of reliability and refinement. The IS250 is a beautiful car. The engine is a peach. You won't regret buying one. They go on and on like a Duracell bunny.
  5. I know of two people who after having the AZ jab were afflicted by abnormal attacks of flatulence. Has anyone else experienced similar outbursts?
  6. I'll have to discuss this with my wife, as I obviously won't be in a fit state to produce any photographic evidence after the event.
  7. Mine's on a V plate. I think we should both be worried as it is the older cars which have the more valuable cats....
  8. I had the AstraZeneca jab a fortnight ago. All was well for two days but then I felt like I'd been hit by an Intercity 125 going at full chat. Tired wasn't the word. I then made the mistake of sleeping on the arm which was injected. Lots of Paracetamol helped, and I'm back to my usual self now (which some of you may see as a pity...)
  9. I must stick to my promise... https://www.amazon.co.uk/Accessories-Swordsmanship-Training-role-playing-Japanese/dp/B08RHQ16Z7/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=samurai+sword&qid=1617394815&sr=8-5
  10. I have been fighting a losing battle trying to get my IS300h to show images. I should own up that I'm an IT Pro, so I should really know what I'm doing. "Should" being the operative word. Anyway, to cut a short story long, I have tried different memory sticks, faffed around with file names and file sizes, even changed exif data in the files, but to no avail. I was about to give up when I thought to myself "I know, I'll try a video". I could get it to play the sound, but not the picture. I then had a stroke of luck. I dived into every IT Pro's Standard Source Of Reference Material (i.e. Google) and found an post in the Septic's Lexus Forum. I followed their instructions and boom! It worked. Feeling somewhat chuffed with myself, I went back to my folder ("Image") full of jpg files (file01.jpg, file02.jpg) on my NTFS formatted 4GB memory stick. What do you think happened when I tried to do a screenshow? Success! I guess you're all desperate to know what the trick is? Well, I'll tell you. Put the bloody footbrake on. @royoftheroversIf this is mentioned in the handbook, I will go to Amazon and buy a Samurai sword, then fall on it.
  11. I think you're opening a can of worms there John. If Peter gets a cat, he will need a Cat Lock, otherwise he will spend all his time worrying that some ne'er do wells will come along and steal it for scrap... I shall fetch my seasonal outwear.
  12. Goodness me no! This is my current coffee of choice. Guaranteed to get the sleepiest sleepyhead firing on all cylinders:
  13. I give you my home made Lexus flask. Thermos Direct Drink Flask £14.99 from Amazon, Lexus sticker £2.70 from eBay.
  14. I believe that was the late great Clive James.
  15. Have you ever thought of selling your Lexus Linas? It's easy to get the impression that you're not entirely happy with it....
  16. Many thanks John.
  17. Going off topic slightly, I had to go down to RNOH Stanmore this morning for a Covid test (the Mrs is having surgery there next week, so it was essential travel). I saw only one car broken down on the hard shoulder from Peterborough to Stanmore and back. Guess what make it was. Clue: it wasn't a BMW but it was made in the same country. And it was a 69 plate.
  18. That pretty much covers it. Note to self: print a topic to PDF next time :-)
  19. There's now a link to this similar thread. Makes you feel glad to have a Lexus...

  21. Shouldn't there be two raised lines on top of the driver's door handle to lock/unlock the car if it has keyless entry?
  22. Have tried and failed many times at this. If anyone knows how to....
