Put your video (mp4) on a FAT32 formatted USB stick then make sure that the parking brake is on. You should then have no problems viewing it. I spent months trying to get photos and videos to display until I realised that the parking brake needed to be engaged.
I'm sorry it didn't fix your problem but a new battery will give you peace of mind over the winter. Don't forget to follow the Lexus advice and run the car for an hour in Ready mode (transmission in Park, the car not in an enclosed space and not somewhere it will get stolen!) to keep the 12V battery charged up if you are not going to be using it for some time.
I think I saw a setting in Betsy to return to the Nav screen after a certain time. I'll check later. Thanks for your question though as it has made me read the manual to solve an issue I've been having with the Home screen not showing me what I want!
There's a hydrogen powered Yaris now - surely Lexus will follow it with a similarly powered IS now....?

I felt the need for a new home-made Lexus accessory.
Now, those of you over a certain age will relate to this. Bending down to get those pesky shoes on can start to become a struggle after the onset of middle age. If only there was a solution at hand. But wait - there is! I give you the Lexus Shoehorn:
No more will I struggle to get my slip-ons on. Going out will become a joy again now that I can use my home-made Lexus Shoehorn to get my shoes on in no time. I sense a potential business opportunity here. I could licence this to Lexus. Just think, instead of being given a set of six Oriental spoons with your new RX, you could receive a far more useful Lexus-branded Shoehorn instead!
With Winter coming, that's a great idea. Also, depending on the version of the audio system you have, there can be issues when the battery is changed, so if you get Lexus do to it, any issues are their problem.
There's a very useful chart floating around (from Herbie I think - apologies if not) which shows the condition of a battery against the voltage it is putting out. I can't find it though, but here's some info from Lexus:
"The Lexus manual page 584 9-1 Specifications Electrical system states:
12.5 V or higher: Fully charged
11.0 – 12.4 V : Half charged
10.9 – or lower; Discharged
(Check the voltage 20minutes after the hybrid system and all lights are turned off)"
I am no expert in this field, but there are several extremely clued-up members on here who will be able to give you the definitive answer.
When my father was taken on his final journey, it was in a Jaguar. The cars for the following family were Jaguars too. I was considering moving to the Dark Side and investigating an XE when my beloved IS250 was nearing 10 years old. However, the Jaguar I was in rattled all the way to the Crematorium and the fit and finish was awful. I'll stick with Lexus thank you very much.
Biggles. Or Maverick. I don't care who you're flying for, but can you stop going round, and round, and round, and round at high altitude above Peterborough please? The Wash isn't too far from here in a jet fighter. Go and play over there where you're not disturbing anyone.
