    I needed a doctor's appointment this week. I called at 8.30 when the lines opened and was told "the number of calls has exceeded the system's capacity. Please hang up and call again later". Ludicrious, absolutely ludicrous.

    I would concur. I had a UX as a loaner some time ago and was very put off by the lack of boot space. I guess they're doing it to keep up with similarly sized Scheissewagens?

    Glad to hear you had a good experience with Autoglass. I'm now with LV and Betsy really needs her windscreen replacing so hopefully a) they'll use Autoglass and b) the process will be as smooth as yours was.

    I used to notice it back in '99 when the IS first came out - a cheery wave or a cheeky flash was quite common. Now I often find that if I'm parked near another Lexus and we come back to our cars at the same time, a conversation usually strikes up about one aspect of ownership or another. I guess if BMW/Mercedes/Audi owners do the same, it's about how many bits have fallen off so far that week.

    Thank goodness you're all ok. Shiny metal boxes can be replaced but flesh and bones are precious. I hope you're all soon back to full health again. Yes it's a shame that your IS paid the ultimate price but it did its job and let you all live to see another day. All the best with finding a replacement - keep us posted.

    I'm averaging 46.3mpg. It would be more but I'd rather take Betsy to the shops instead of walking.

    I've just switched to LV because they were £200 cheaper than my AA renewal (this had doubled!) I could have got a much cheaper deal but the excesses were over a grand! I did consider going for one of the cheaper deals and putting the difference in the bank each month to go towards the excess but life's too short sometimes.
