get a couple of meters of copper wire, wrap sections of the steering wheel and connect to a 12v source ;)
heats up in 2 - 5 seconds

i get a knocking sound, but only when the car is hot...
does the sound come once you've just jumped into the car? or is it always there?

I noticed in a window reflection that a brake light was out, what a pain to change! but easily done in 5mins.
i also noticed the top of the tail lights is actually just a blank plate! i was thinking of drilling a hole and adding another brake light.
then today i see a white mk2 with the tops of the tail lights lit on!!! is this a mod? or did lexus after 1999 actually use the space on top?
if so anyone know the part number for the harness?

Good luck mate,
thousands of companies lose money like this, i read somewhere in a paper its about £90 Million a year due to fraud.

the best bit i like about it is the fact anyone who touches the car will get a small shock.
i'd try and make it a big shock!

im not a mechanic, but i thought all cars had fuel return lines.

i've found these on eBay.com...
they are listed for the is300, but im hoping they will fit the gs300.... can anyone confirm this?
also in the pictures it looks like it has 3 holes for the o2 sensors, so maybe they wont set off the cel light?
trying to remember from the top of my head, are there 2 pre-cats on the standard manifold?
on my previous car i removed the pre-cat leaving the main cat and it passed emissions fine.
has anyone got a manifold on their gs?
cheers

its the non HD version.
i called audio66, fitted turned out to be more than £1k, they charge ahell of alot for the extras you need to get it fitted. also thats without the Bluetooth, which retails at £100.
looked good on the internet, but crap in real terms.
-
i havent got it installed yet, but i've been ringing round all the approved pioneer dealers near me, and pitching them against eachother!!
quotes started at £1400 :tsktsk:
at the moment £999, but he's fully booked tomorrow, but might squeeze me in
wonder how low i can go! :winky:
may get it installed tomorrow.... pics to follow if i do !
(thats with Bluetooth, and any other extras i can get chucked in)
watch this space!

not sure why it didnt have one, or even an option.
i had a primera saloon before the gs, it didnt have one, and was very rare on others.
i've seen skyline r34's, and nissan 200's with rear wipers.
theres a special compound you can wipe the windows with that make water bead up so its more clear to view out from.
sorry i can remember what it is!

as i said, i flew by!
the car park was full of focus st's and a few jap cars parked on the pavement.

L- Tuned <- clicky
they are selling dragon torque converters, which apparenly give more bhp to the wheels.
quote: "The adverage gain on the 9 1/2-inch torque converter series is 2 tenths on 60 foot and up top 3/4 of a second on overall elapsed times in the 1/4 mile. The average horsepower gain is up to 40-50 horsepower to the rear wheels due to the torque multiplication and increased stall speed."
seems to good to be true, if it is, how comes i cant find any info in these forums?
would it work?
thanks

Hi,
On my gs300 the cd/radio pixels have a mind of their own.
most of the time they dont work.
could i fix this if i removed it?
on a friends saab, the pixels went walkies so he removed it, and pressed the reverse (and added padding)
can the same be applied to mine?
thanks

i've had my gs300 for 2 weeks now, and visit the pump once a week. i get about 250-290 miles a tank. mixed but more in town than M WAY
but thats with me flooring it every now and then. you cant help but floor it.
the insurance difference for me between 300 and 430 was £10. i did want the 430 but couldnt find one i liked in my budget.
as mine has the sport kit, i can forgive it for not having that extra 80bhp.
my advice to you.....
get the 430!

i rang up my local lexus dealer (woodford) and was quoted under around £330 for a timing belt change, includes all parts, labour and VAT.
i personally think this price isnt bad at all. i'll get a stamp in my book and peice of mind! (hopefully i can book it in late and get a brand spanking new cover car LOL)
mines due in 12k miles, will get lexus to do it!
-
i got flashed by a camera, but wasnt speeding. never got anything.
theres some cameras that flash for no reason at all.
maybe it was a bee that set it off lol
-
thanks!
are they straight swap?
i think i'd be able to do them myself....
-
the cd's are placed correctly, and i've tried one the wrong way.
thanks for the suggestion though

sorry to see that!
i'd personally try and go through insurance, or get a quote from a lexus dealer.
what if it was a person she hit? a slap on the wrist isnt enough.
