  1. thx Mark, I pmed you. B) For you is it a better choice than Apex'i ?
  2. I love Apex'i design but the S-AFC II tuning seems less effective than the HKS one as the settings can only be done by 200rpm tuning steps against 50rpm ones for the HKS.
  3. http://www.tdi-plc.com/Technical%20SuperAFR.html The HKS Super AFR is the very first airflow meter correctional device in the industry with a built in CPU. The advantage of having a built in CPU is that instead of making corrections to the airflow meter map signal voltage, the characteristics of the airflow meter map signal are input to the CPU so it can calculate the most accurate amount of airflow. Since the correction will be made to this specific intake volume, the ratio of fuel wil be precise and proportional. With an illuminated display and face mounted adjustment controls, the compact Super AFR is a simple to use fuel computer that offers many of the advanced features that were once exclusive to full engine management systems. The LED screen is utilized to digitally display all adjustments as they are entered along with RPM and fuel % adjustment (over baseline) in real time. The Super AFR is compatible with virtually any fuel injected 2 to 12 cylinder vehicle that utilizes a hotwire, Karmann Vortex airflow meter or pressure sensor. The internal CPU allows it to be versatile and utilized on many of the newer airflow meters. The air/fuel Ratio Correction function of the Super AFR allows complete fuel curve tuning by offering eleven points between 650 and 8000rpm of adjustment, that can be arbitrarily moved in 50rpm increments. Each point of adjustment offers a tuning range of 50% rich to 50% lean from the factory baseline setting in 1% increments. Also incorporated is the Idle Correction function, where idle fuel mixture can be adjusted from 50% rich to 50% lean from from the factory baseline setting in 1% increments within the idle range of 650 to 1500 rpm. This offers the ability to adjust air/fuel ratios as modifications progress and require further tuning to compensate for high lift cams and/or larger injectors. The response function, similar to the one in the VPC, allows for adjustments to the fuel settings opon throttle input to improve driveability and performance. Much like the corrections made to the idle mixture to compensate for high lift cams and/or larger injectors, the response function can also compensate for differences in fuel requirements opon initial throttle input as airflow characteristics are changed from high-lift cams, larger injectors and bigger turbochargers. The response function allows for management of engine response in milliseconds with six points of air meter signal adjustment between 650 and 5000 rpm that can be randomly moved in 50 rpm increments. Additionally, an Electronic Idle Stabilizer function (EIDS), which buffers dramatic airflow meter signal fluctuations, prevents engine stalling or stumbling assciated with sudden imbalances in air/fuel ratio of airflow meter equipped vehicle that utilize atmosphere venting blow-off valves. Warning: a lean air/fuel ratio can occur which may cause detonation or other severe engine damage. HKS strongly suggest consulting a trained technician before use of the AFR.
  4. Too bad, it has already been sold
  5. I'm thinking of buying a HKS SAFR, is it a good idea ? IS it better than Apex'i S-AFC II ? I should be able to keep it when the car will be S/C. I need your opinion! Thanks
  6. There may be a group buy possibility if anyone interested for Toyota original ones @ $170 + shipping from HK, but we need to know how many ppl are interested to get the shipping cost
  7. I did a search, the vertical position only allows you to open with the lever. All the mechanism is working, it is the electric part that is out of service
  8. When I push the button on the key to open the boot door, I can hear the relay in the rear left fender that should activate the unlocking. Whatever I do, the voltage between the 2 wires at the lock remains null. I checked all the fuses, they are all ok. I can open using the driver lever and when introducing the key in the lock, it is only the electric part that is out. Can it be the lock motor or the relay in the boot ? Is there a specific fuse I haven't seen ? Thanks
  9. pmed you ... Hello, At Intense, the fogs are at $245 while clear ones are at $25 on ebay :duh: Are yours factory smoked or clear ones smoked after ?
  10. It looks really good, I really love Apex'i boxes design
  11. I got ERR3 on sunday :( and the warranty is over since 31st July, I phone my dealer, he can't do anything till the middle of sepember as he is alone at this time :tsktsk: :tsktsk:
  12. I'm searching smoked rear fog lights. Anyone know where I could get them faster and hopefully cheaper than at Intense? I need them before the end of the month to fit on my new boot that as just arrived (my orignal fogs are dead :( )
  13. to me it's an Egoist front bumper and side skirts with fender flares for BMW E36 (seem too big for Wald ones but may be these ones)
  14. Lexus as an old-man car image because of GS and LS that were to take Mercedes market. The IS as not been made in the same way. Just look at the USA, lots of IS owners are under 25 and so am I :)
  15. mine is a lextasy real cf grill, the only bad point is the thin cheap mesh but it can be changed easily
  16. very nice vids, I like the sound :)
  17. if it doesn't open by clicking on the link, do a right clic and save target as
  18. In France, people that go under arrest anfd have blue led washers have to pay a fee for them cause only emergency vehicles are allowed to have blue lights on. (the fee is around 400 € but they only stop people having them switched on)
  19. you're right this tail wing is a big :tsktsk: , it increases consumption a lot and makes the car go slower It is a nice CF stuff but it is too big for the car, it doesn't look very nice I'm planning to throw it away as soon as I will get my real CF Vis Trunk.
  20. On my fuel door there only is ; in my manual, there is .But I agree that the difference between 95 and 98 is not really noticeable while driving My car is from Jan 2000
  21. I have only use 98 in my cars, 95 is good and cheaper, but 98 increases a bit the engine performances. Japanese fuel is 100 octane level, so it is better using fuel having the one nearest to 100 ** in french : le95 est moins cher, ca marche aussi, sans pb mais ca encrasse le moteur comparé au 98. Il faut savoir aussi qu'au japon l'essence a un indice de 100, il est donc préférable de prendre un indice élevé. Mais sur un moteur d'origine, le 95 est utilisable sans pb **
  22. I was waiting for this GB since my registration It is good to be patient :P
  23. Racer is a vey good driving simulationand it is free. Take a look at Racer homepage and Racer download center
