  1. Could you try driving another 400h to compare or get someone who owns one to drive yours and see what they think - provided insurance allows. I test drove a car once that pulled to the left. Test drove another one - no issues so I did not buy that one. Years ago, many, my Ford Cortina seemed to pull to one side. Tracking / balancing helped at first but it came back - drove me round the bend, so I have some sympathy with your problem.
  2. I would not mind failing on those things! Well done!
  3. They did not touch it. The only thing they did was to test the brakes on the move. Perhaps a very sharp brake at 20 mph might unstick the float. I will keep it topped up, just to make sure it does not come on again.
  4. Thank you both. I still have the smile on my face. My car has developed the screen wash light on fault. I have read on here the possible fixes and was intending to get round to it sometime. Mentioned it to the garage who did the MOT, told them the reservoir was not empty and I would sort it. - they appear to have done it! Will contact them tomorrow to found out how. Hope they have not just pulled a fuse!
  5. And no advisories! Suspension rust advisories last year sorted with rust converter and waxoyl. Very pleased - only windscreen wiper blades needed! Another Year!
  6. Actuall;y I agree! That does look better! You have still kept the Diamonds. I am against complete de-badging. That does look better IMHO.
  7. They will become Classics - no question about that - I am personally not bothered what the value is ...... they are very special cars. I have owned a Mk III and now a Mk IV. The smell of the leather is the same - very special. Keep it quiet or everyone will want one!
  8. That green is really getting to me. Not a colour I would automatically choose but there is something special about that colour. Well done! You WILL enjoy!
  9. So am I! Your previous cars look superb - you a very welcome to be OCD on mine anytime! Very interested in your progress - adding photos enhances the thread. Good luck!
  10. No timing belt? That is another saving at the mileage you have bought it. Well done with the switches! I will be very interested on the reliability and running costs when you have sorted out the problems. That is a cracking motor for the price. Keep us all informed.
  11. £5600, Worth a punt! Keep us posted on how it performs - particularly reliability.
  12. Not an expert on the RX but if you read the threads on potential air suspension issues I would play it safe and go for the older SE. Just my opinion from reading what other have posted.
  13. That was lost on me but now I understand! My parents smoked them at one point! Films and TV programmes that you have not seen for a number of years bring back fond memories. The Prisoner, I recollect, was on a Sunday evening. The white BALL that captured escapees was very frightening at the time. I bought the box set but when I came to view the first couple of episodes, it did not have that "buzz" and I felt somewhat deflated. Possibly it is a mistake to go back and look at films we loved in our youth. Another film, which I thought was fantastic at the time, turned out to be very disappointing - "Sink the Bismark!" The special effects have come a long way. Now they can digitally create dead actors! I find that quite disturbing.
  14. That looks fantastic. A great publicity aid.
  15. This is MY next car! http://sundown.me.uk/technology/mercedes-aa-class.mp4
  16. Good luck! Post some photos.
  17. It would not be 4 wheel drive? So it would rely on the power alone. Interested to see it go through mud if anyone on here buys it!.
