    I find the chase more exciting than the ownership. My Achilles heel, is that I tend to want a particular model rather than view the field, this does limit choice. I sometimes, for fun, put in a price on Autotrader and see what pops up for the money. Trouble is you usually get loads of Citroens and Renaults, I wonder why?

    It would have been good to have the LS400 as a back-up car - a bit like they do in Top Gear, mind that is no shame. Really wish I could have made it, would have been happy to sleep on the back seat!. Can't wait to see some footage. Any other Lexus models turn up?

    Regarding the winds creen wash light - try blasting some water into the reservoir with a hose, it might shift the float. I did mine with hard braking!

    That equals my 2.0 litre turbo diesel for economy. I also tow a Bailey, the Pageant Champagne, slightly less weight that yours.

    I am really touched and had I not had other commitments I would make the effort, honestly! It would be good to meet you guys, though I am not a speed merchant and would have to take short cuts to catch up with you guys. Take care and I want to see lots of photos and videos - BUT - none of crumpled IS-F's please. Enjoy the journey and don't be too adventurous with your right foot! If you are able to post photos on the day as you go along, then I can be with you in spirit - sorry Guinness!
