    £1700 for second-hand parts? What do the new ones cost? When you are paying over £70,000 for a car I suppose that is not too bad? Not car thsat can be run on the cheap - but what a car!

    Of all the car adverts you have seen on TV and in magazines, which ones do you actually remember from a few years ago? Adverts are meant to keep in our subconscience - but which ones do you remember? This was my favourite - at the time!

    Unfortunately that is criminal damage - very frustrating but he will get his just desserts! Only you will not be there to see it. Check the MOT history of the plate in a few months to find out if it is still on the road.

    People are under the misapprehension that if you don't use the aircon you are not wearing it out! The reverse is actually true.

    The GS300h - is that the 4 cylinder engine? IS300h has the 6 cylinder engine. Others on here will correect me if I am mistaken - worth checking. Had a ride in a GS300h, so quiet and refined as it was running on electric! They are very economical on fuel and compared to a BMW are far more reliable. If you can afford to run a BMW you will easily run a Lexus! You need to own one for a few months before you fully appreciate how good they are. A test drive is not really enough. Good luck with your search.

    Have you considered an RX 400h? I have the RX300, which is a lovely car to drive but the fuel consumption is on the high side if you are covering average mileages each year.

    The selling rule should always be first to come with the readies gets it! I have waited for people to view and then they did not turn up! Not even a call to say they were not coming. It depends on the manner and attitude of the buyer to be honest. Good luck, but strike while the iron is hot! If it is a good one it will sell quickly - this applies to most models.

    The GS450h was a good newer alternative, you just unlucky to find a poor one. Keep up the search. Have you considered a different Lexus? LS430?

    If you can live with some of the cosmetic imperfections then it would be worth a look. I think the seller mentioned the springs had been replaced but as has been said, depends on the quality of the part. The car may appear to be top price but the 400's are getting rarer and knowing how good these cars are, I think worth the money. My only concern is the SORN - why MOT and then SORN? Still might be worth a punt. Let us know if you go and see it. Took mine for a spin yesterday - what a car! Picked up my son's friend, he got in and said, "This is a luxury car!" That boy will go far!

    When there is sentencing it appears either too lenient or for some "crimes" too harsh. I imagine this reflects what happens when the cameras are not running.

    It sounds good - just be prepared to walk away if you get an uneasy feeling. There will be others, but you will have to be very patient!

    Nothing "wrong" with the colour it is just their naming. I think mine is called Mist Grey - but it is clearly BLUE! Very odd.

    Stick with the cream - much lighter in the winter, especially in Scotland. Black will depress you in the long winter. You can get it cleaned! That looks a peach - and a full history. If that is Bangernomics then bring it on! Condition and history is more important than age. I am really enjoying driving my RX 300. I will give my views on th RX when I have owned it a bit longer. At the moment it is much better than I expected. Great view from the driver's seat, headlights are very good at night and the ride is much better than I expected. Let us all know what your wife thinks of it.
