  1. I managed to sell my daughter's car by offering it at a lowish price with advert on the drive. Ideally I would trade-in as you often have to deal with some strange people. Again, lots of messages, "Is it still available?" then nothing more - they are probably testing the market. I am selling a trailer on Gumtree, which at the price, is a bargain. Again no takers. I no longer have a car with a tow bar. If I wanted a trailer, I would guarantee I would have to pay double for a similar one. If someone wants what you are selling they will pay the price. If not, then like you said, they are just chancers who want to make a quick buck.
  2. Possibly 10 minutes was not enough - worth a try.
  3. Through a laptop. I like the base key they use - much more robust than the original.
  4. This has helped me understand the different offering. Mild hybrid (Ford for example) is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard from what I can see. https://electriccarhome.co.uk/electric-cars/bev-phev-hev-ice/
  5. They do call outs but I went to their shop and then took a lovely walk around Herne Bay! https://www.hernebaylocks.co.uk/
  6. I do not keep up with the wider market but I have just seen an MG5 EV Estate for under £20,000. Have no idea of quality or longevity but it does look good for the money compared to other offerings. No worries, I will stick with my LS 400 for the time being. I might be able to fit a washing machine motor in her when the petrol runs out!
  7. A friend of mine, who has a Tesla, drove to Italy and back without any issues.
  8. In all seriousness it does not look good. After a respray can you coat it with something to protect it?
  9. Mask it up and a nice yellow Hammerite would look very tasteful!
  10. To be fair the only reason for them would appear to be safety, for those that do not bother to check their tyres.
  11. £150 including a new battery for the original. The new key looks like a Ford/VW folding key, much more robust than the original. All works including remote operation of the boot. Took about 70 minutes.
  12. Purchased a second key for the RX 300! Now have two keys that work remotely! Thank you Herne Bay Locks!
  13. Enjoyed reading that article.
  14. The cost of a service deal varies. I looked at a 450h and it was £78 a month.
  15. That Honda looks lovely. I use a ramp to load and unload the dog, as we do not wish him to get an injury - even though he is still young.
  16. Worth a try - sorry it did not work. Battery problems can cause a large range of issues.
  17. Yes, but with care and my heart in my mouth! Provided it has a good service history and the MOT history does not show major issues. Yes you take a chance, I have been extremely pleased with my RX 300 and RX 400h purchased as older cars.
  18. Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and try again. Nothing much to lose but a few minutes.
  19. That is an interesting story because I spoke to a chap who bought a 450h from Lexus Tonbridge (Motorline) and found damage underneath the front valance. Just because it is from a Lexus dealer do not take it for granted that the car will be well looked after. Caveat Emptor!
  20. To get the "right" Lexus you want, you will almost certainly have to travel. For me, Southampton, Ipswich, Northampton and Bristol!
  21. Excellent! We want to see a photo of a smiling greyhound in the back!
  22. I would just be gutted for you if your dream car turned out to be a small nightmare.
