    A guy i spoke to had a new Hybrid Volvo delivered. He and his wife did not feel comfortable with the car. He asked the dealer how much they would buy it back for. He claims, I believe him, they offered him £1500 more than he paid (?)

    Cars, unless they are certain classics, only depreciate in value. At the end of the day it is a balance between what you can afford vs what you are prepared to accept. To some a new car is a must, to others a 10 year old Lexus is still pure luxury without the high initial cost. Horses for courses, yes there is no "right" answer - it is down to the individual.

    The 400h is a completely different drive to the RX300, so you will need a test drive to find out if you like the way it drives - hybrid / CVT. The fuel economy is far better than the RX300. From my experience 22 mpg vs 30 mpg.

    Worth going to a paint place and getting their opinion. I wondered if your paint was red but it appears blue.

    Difficult to tell but I had something very similar on a car many years ago. It was bird muck that had eaten away at the top coat of paint. Do you park under a tree or have noticed lots of bird droppings on your car? Other forms of pollution may also be responsible.

    I would have a regas and leak check and then go from there (cost around £70)

    If you are getting 30 mpg out of your RX300 you are doing brilliantly. Can’t remember but are you on LPG?

    Basically all those issues are wear and tear items which need replacing at some point. I do not understand the suspension bit. I had front and rear discs and pads replaced and a full service by an independent. Aircon - re-gassed - on a 2008 RX400h
