  1. Sadly, in a very underhand form, it is already here. I cheered when it all went down yesterday. I only wish it had been for longer!
  2. The bars should be able to be adjusted (moved) to fit the roof box. My advice would be to get the largest roofbox you can. Exodus from Halfords are good value.
  3. Roof Rails are fixed. You need to purchase roof BARS that a roofbox will attach to.
  4. i have another layer to add to this........................................... it is the government's way of increasing the sale of electric cars!
  5. Exactly! If you want that sort of car - don't buy a hybrid!
  6. Yes, that is true but................ the average fuel delivery is £25. I presume many people NEVER completely fill their tanks. Now they are! Once everyone's tank is full the queues will die down. But............ how long will that take?
  7. If you set the heater/aircon to warm, the engine will fire up if it is cold. That is my experience anyway.
  8. I fully agree, particularly the hybrid. That is why journalists, reviewing a car, thrash the hell out of them and then complain about the CVT gearbox. Normal driving is so far away from car reviews by "professionals" - if you want that sort of car, there are many to choose out there.
  9. What is your "truck" out of interest ? An HGV? Van? Pick-up?
  10. Good MOT history - but one does mention corrosion, depends how bad.
  11. 2nd Generation RX - the perfect Chelsea Tractor! https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202109257792989?year-to=2021&radius=1500&postcode=ct147th&make=LEXUS&sort=mileage&advertising-location=at_cars&price-to=5500&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&include-delivery-option=on&page=2
  12. The best compromise would be a PHEV - interesting to see what peeps make of the new NX.
  13. I am not sure if it is stress or the number of cars on the road but people do not have patience. Interestingly I did a trip to Thanet, very early this morning at 4.30 am. The journey usually takes at least 30 minutes but I did it in 15 mins without breaking the speed limit.
  14. No petrol locally - my daughter had to travel 10 miles to fill up. Big queues.
  15. Interesting selection. To fully cover all the bases, you would need a small fleet of cars. Interestingly I have owned over 30 cars, the ones that gave me the most pleasure were often the cheaper end of the market. Cheapest: £50 for my first car (Ford Anglia) Most expensive: £16,000 for a new Mitsubishi Space Wagon in 2002. Worst buys: BMW 250 diesel and Volvo 240 GLE. Anyone considering a Range Rover Vogue L405 - see the owner review below!
  16. I did not realise that the oil was different. Will let you know when mine goes south! I can't imagine my guy used a special oil. Watch this space!
  17. Obviously not a good idea to run low on fuel, especially in a hybrid - not sure why but I read it somewhere on here!
