  1. I decided to buy some xenons and bought the ones of Ebay that say they use 5th Generation ballasts (must admit thought there were only 4 gens atm) and they come in less than HIDS4U delivered. The kit comes in a case and the kit seems good quality. Also i found it all a doddle to fit. Again remember to plug the positive wire into the negative terminal on the ballast to make it work. Hope that helps
  2. Damn damn damn. I just ordered one over the phone today, really should have read this. Paid £280 delivered, but i am going to WIM on friday so I needed it by then. The guy on the phone said i had the last one. I thought it might have been last ever, but it just seems that it was last in stock. Might have to wait a bit while they are fabricated! 9/6/08: I got my Blueflame fitted on Friday. I must say it sounds fantastic. Nice hum on idle after the initial woomf. Once the exhaust has warmed up it is quite a bit louder between 1.5-3k revs and after that the engine noise is louder from the drivers seat. The exhaust looks a little larger than OEM but as close as you can get other than the Janspeed.
  3. The extra money you spend getting serviced by Lexus is more than the value you will lose off a car of that age by not getting it done by Lexus. Though on the flipside if you go with Lexus, you can probs get an IS250/220d for the day (Lexus Park Lane will do it) and the service will be a much better experience and you can garuntee Lexus parts are used.
  4. Top end N/A is about 170Bhp but thats mega bucks.
  5. I haven't had the shock changed yet was only diagnosed on friday and they didnt have the part. I think the ABS problem is just coincidence though, hasnt come back. I do like the scanguage even if it isnt perfect, just wanted to warn people it wont pick up everything.
  6. Hi Guys, Sorry but this post is going to be a bit of a downer. The scan guage does NOT read all fault codes from the engine. I got my scan guage 2 to check for codes and it said there were none. However my car was in with lexus yesterday (she has a leaky shock absorber ) and they said there were 3 codes that they cleared - not that they told me what they were. Also i suspect that this device is causing my ABS light to flash as it only happens when its connected. However i must point out that it doesnt flash all the time it is plugged in so could just be coincidence. Ed
  7. Definitely the best, but then ive only had a short car history: Yaris 1.0ltr GS (Grans old car) Wasnt really paying attention to cars back then, just wanted one. X Reg Ford Focus 1.4l (Good handling but gutless, now my brothers.) X Reg IS200 Sport
  8. All you need is 6 Denso IK20 spark plugs. Your best bet is to buy them from US Ebay, thats where i got mine from.
  9. Whenever i am parked or stopped at the lights my ABS light is flashing rapidly but gos away when on the move, though the car brakes fine - not that i've dared braking hard. My car is going into lexus on friday anyway but i just wanted to know if its something to majorly worry about. Anybody got any ideas? No fault codes are being read by my scanguage.
  10. Yep ill make my way down. Should be a good one.
  11. If it turns out that the car is going to be repaired or if you buy it back you may want to change bodyshops from the comment seen above. When mine got hit it got repaired by Springbok Garage in Tooting. It had over £1k worth of damage to the drivers side wing and door and they did a good job of the repair. Ed
  12. Hmmm google says 44mins and it will take us about 40mins if we drive normally, 30 if we dont. Y2Kanjar you could always meet us where the M3 joins the M25 as thats where we'll be joining. Alternatively we could always meet just after junction 18 where we will all be leaving the M25 for WIMs. Seems that there is a place you can pull in off a rd called Dog Kennel lane. By a a park/common.
  13. Yeah i can do that. Who else is in? HHmm gonna have to clean the car tomorrow i think.
  14. I'm up for meeting on the way and am coming from SW London. No idea wheres a good place is though. I was thinking MIMS services on M25, not that thats exactly on the way for me.....
  15. Hi guys. Right well i fitted mine last night. Sorry was in a slight rush so didnt take any photos of the install in stages. I seem to have more power in the mid range 2500 - 4000 and the power does not kick in so hard when the engine comes on cam. Therefore the power delivery seems to be smoother. Also the bass oyut of my souns system seems to be alot cleaner and my speakers distort less. I was going to fit a small sub in the boot but ill see what this is like now over the next week. Now before i credit the grounding kit for all this i must point out this is the first time the ecu has been reset after i installed a set of IK20s. I put the wires onto existing grounding points so the cables allready in situ will have become better connected aswell. Plus while i was under the bonnet with the airbox off a cleared the dirt off the throttle body. So the only think i can credit it with entirely is the cleaner bass. Ed
  16. I'm interested in both the guage and mount. Stick me down.
  17. I also have the left one fitted to my car which i bought off ebay. Much nicer in my opinion than the chrome one, and seems to make the throw slightly shorter too....... My only problem was where to put the gear pattern sticker that came with it as my original one was lookign ver tatty. Stuck it on top of the ash tray in the end.
  18. Right well i've just been told mine has turned up today: so i'll try and fit it tonight light permitting. I'll try and take some pictures of the install for people who are thinking of fitting a kit themselves.
  19. theres too many birthdays in May!! It's hard to keep track.
  20. Well i've just been told its one of my best mates birthdays on the 25th (i really should have known) so i may well have to split my time between the 2. :(
  21. South Mimms services on the M25? Seems the closest largish place, only a few junctions up by the A1. Whatcha reckon? Theres always somewhere closer though, dont really know the area around WIMs new digs.
  22. True. I hadnt thought of that, havent sold anything on ebay for a while.
  23. Well mine was "posted" May 7th, ordered 29th April, and hasnt turned up yet. I emailed him on the 6th May initially asking if it had been posted. I will just be a bit miffed if he sent it 2nd class as i essentially gave him £3.25 extra postage as he sends them out for £40 normally.
  24. Well this still hasnt turned up yet! How long did it take for your guys kits to turn up??? I'm getting impatient has been well over a week now, especially as i paid postage when you dont on the site.
