    Hi

Thank you for the picture of your SC I have just found it as last year I bought a Porsche C2 S but have now decided to go back to a SC and the wind deflector on your car looks great so I will try to find one.

    Thanks Again

  2. :D Hi Folks

Well although I loved my SC I have given in and bought a Merc SL, the SC was smother and had a small rear seat but the Merc has more toys including colour tv / front and rear park assist great wheels and comand centre etc etc.

I enjoyed my time with you guys but time to go.

    Regards

    Michael

  3. Hi Guy's

You should really read you radio hand books, if you switch of the traffic info the ariel will stay down when you have the CD on, I put my mobile on the centre cup holder in works fine.

I use the rear seats often to get four of us to the pub which is all I want the rear seat for just short trips.

  4. :) Hi Suplex

I bought a new SC on March 1st and I love it, I have always run Merc SL's since the eighties until now but the rear seat which everyone laughs at in the SC can be used for short runs to a restaurant or pub with the front seats forward which makes it the only folding quality tin top money can buy that can do this, ( the SL can not) I have driven the new SL which is not better than the SC and is much more common. If you want a convertable then the SC is the one to buy you should not compare a coupe like the SC with a saloon as some have tried to do they are two very different cars.

Buy your SC and you will love it just as I do.

  5. Hi Whitebeam

Lets see who else is in Devon and try and meet up, are you going to Powderham Castle Lexus open road ?

    Hi Steve

sorry about the factory tour but I hurt my back in May when someone ran into my wifes car when I was a passenger and I am only just back to something close to normal. I will look out for the somerset meet.

  6. Hi Folks

are there any SC or other Lexus owners in Devon? I am feeling very alone down in North Devon, would be nice to have a mini or micro meet somewhere sometime.

    Anyone interested?

    Michael

  7. :D I spent this weekend cruising with the roof down from North Devon to Cribbs at Bristol and cannot believe the MPG average was 32.1 after about 220 miles, my Rover 75 diesel tourer auto only returns 36 MPG.

    Great car, well done Lexus

  8. :whistling: I just kerbed a front wheel on my new SC while avoiding a tourist who had paid for both sides of the road here in Devon, can you buy touch up paint for alloys? the damage is not bad enough yet to go to the trouble of removing the wheel.

    Thanks

  9. :D The SC430 is brilliant, it is often compared with the Merc SL but believe me the SC is streets ahead, I ran SL Mercs for many years but when I test drove the new 350SL I was so dissapointed that I then bought a new SC.

The benefits of the SC over the SL are:

    1. More head room

    2. Faster and better engine.

    3. Quieter and smoother ride

    4. Small rear seats which you CAN fit someone in for short journeys.

    5. Better standard spec.

    6. Better build quality

    7. More exclusive.

And unlike some I find the SC performance and handling outstanding, like all cars you have to settle in to the style of any car but once you do the SC in formidable on the road. A weekend test drive is no more than that, but when you own an SC you will love it.

    Michael :D
