erm, hearing it would be first. Its extremely loud and the GF hates it. So I love it lol.......
Like I said above mate if i decide to sell it I will let you know first.
-
yeh i had the brake and coolant change aswell. I think £520 aint too bad tbh.
-
sorry mate, it sounds really crap. wish I could get my money back :(
If i ever sell it you can have first dibs if you like??
-
No because my lexus is an 04 plate it doesn't need doing. They checked it for me and said it was all fine.
I also got a new CD player put into the car for free as error 3 kept coming up which I thought was good seeing as the car has no warrenty remaining on it.
-
I can get the ID number later on.
I honestly didnt know about it being sold elsewhere, and they failed to mention it being sold on the phone and it was still on eBay on the friday 28th december.
I apologise to Aztec as it is totally unfair.#
It does sound fantastic tbh, the car sounds like a non-turbo supra now lol, need to get my lowering springs sorted now and windows tinted.
-
It cost me £520 for the whole thing (with the exhaust aswell).
I rang round a few places and they came in the cheapest (not sure if its the cheapest I could get it).
-
I think I might have bought it mate, I picked it up from them on Friday. I saw it on eBay and then rang him saying I would pick it up friday as i wanted it fitting saturday.
I didnt know mate, they shouldn't have sold it to me.

I had my 60k service done on saturday at Bolton Lexus and the service was fantastic.
I had a courtesy car for the day (3 hours) and they also fitted my new Veilside Exhaust for me for free in the price of the service.
The car feels so much better to drive after the service and the MPG has also slighly increased and the exhuast sounds fantastic :D
Big Thanks to Bolton :D

cheers for the above, I am going to find a nice big car park (without camera's) and have a little play. I think i just need to get used to the way the back-end works because I have never drove a RWD car in these conditions.
I am also guna have a play with the difference between having the SNOW button on and off and also the traction control button. See if I can sort of master the Lexus in the ICE lol......

I have Dunlop SP Sport 3000's all round and the rears have alot of tread and the fronts are due to be replaced in about a month or so.
Tyre Pressures are at 35p.s.i all round aswell.
I havent had the geometry looked at since buying the car in august.
-
I was just wondering if it was due to being a RWD car. I have just never had the feeling that a car is steping out all the time thats all.
It can be fun yeah but to be honest its not fun when it fully steps out, quite scary though.
Cheers for you response guys.

Hiya all,
I just thought I would post up a quick question about your IS in the ICE. Mine seems to be unbelievable twitchy at slow speeds. I have tried the SNOW button and this seems to make the car seem worse. I think alot of it is down to this car being the first Rear Wheel drive car I have owned. but i didnt think it would be this bad.
Is anyone else having the same feeling about the IS in the ICE???
Cheers
-
Cheers for all your views but it is only a play thing as the IS will be used for normal use. The R5 is something to escape in when the Baby comes lol and when the GF is being a blag (only jokin). Its mainly a project that I can work on and enjoy looking after.
In terms on the front bumper, that is going to looked at, but i seem to remember that the bumper sits like that due to the size of the intercooler.

Yeh the car in the pic is the one that got stolen. he is mates with the guy who built this car originally.
I didnt think it would be some people's cup of tea, but i love it and its guna be suprising some people at the lights and on the strip.
Mat this engine is quite reliable as the boost isnt set to a stupid setting and the engine is alot stronger than most R5 engines. It has only blown up once and that was on the rollers. This was because the car was running @ 300bhp with NOS and it couldnt take it. Now the NOS has been removed and the boost is at 18 p.s.i and when the engine was rebuilt it was rebuilt even stronger.
-
Cheers Jamie.
All other things are going welk mate, 18 weeks gone now lol
I might bring the R5 down to a meet Chris and give you a blast in it and use all 250bhp lol, if your at the meet i go to lol.

thanks for your response mate.
The police have been completly useless so far. The car was involved in 3 police chases on the night it was stolen and they never managed to stop the car. Also even though the car had been in 3 police chases, my mate only found out in the morning that the car had actually been stolen.
With respect to the blackmail the police have not put any suggestions forward regarding a set-up. The only thing in all of this is that my mates company 'Epic Custom Paintwork' is on the car and they know he is the owner. He is now worried that the theft of his car is going to lead to vandalising his unit and maybe even theft from his unit. When they phoned him up they asked for £600 and he would get his car back, so he replied get stuffed. Then they phoned back a while later saying £300 and he will see the car again, so he told them to burn the car, the insurance company are going to pay out anyways.
I have created some posters with pics of the car on it and contact numbers and where going to drop them off at the petrol stations in and around Kirby, I know its a long shot but they will need fuel at some point as the car is quite heavily tuned up.
If any one has any news or sees it please let me know or call the police.

Hi Guys,
My friends renault 5 got stolen on saturday night from a tuning Garage in Kirby. The car has been spotted around the Kirby area but the people who stole the car are now contacting my friend asking for money if he wants to see his car back. He owns Epic Custom Paintwork and his number is in the windscreen.
The renault 5 has a one-off paint job (in purple crackle effect and mirror flake and bright orange wheels) and is like no other ranault 5, so isnt hard to miss. Im wondering if you would all be able to keep an eye for the car as the car is of extreme sentimental value to my mate as he has done most of the work on the car from the paintwork to the 1.7 Turbo engine conversion. If any of you see the car could you please post on here straight away.
I have put some pics below of the car as it looked. Thanks for any help you can give.

Is there going to be a November Competition??
I was cheesed off about missing the October and was wondering if there was going to be another Picture Competition??

Just had a phone call from Lexus (Bolton) and they have clarified that the problem is the level sensor situated on the rear axle on the left. It has borke and they have replaced it with a new one. I would also like to note that the problem was fixed for free even thought the car is out of the Warrenty Stage.
So the problem has been resolved and Thanks to Lexus Bolton for their excellent service.

Glad your ok.
I cant believe the police said you could drive home with the alloy / tyre in the condition they are in.
Hope you get it all sorted out.
