  1. Lexus is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service, thats the moto above the customer relations number. obviously they like to start with some light humour. Following more phone calls today with my local dealer and lexus uk ive raised a formal complaint . The local dealer has his manager and the uk regional manager trying to find the car. After a day of waiting no one has been able to supply my dealer with an update on my car. A car registered in my name that should have been collected on tuesday. Lexus uk promised againt my complaint ref to call me back today, no one called. Another example of poor customer service. I will be ringing first thing tommorow raising another complaint about how the first complaint is being handled. As there seems to be little concern for customer satisfaction and as i mention recompense for the poor service to date this morning i will now be informing lexus uk i will not be accepting the car ( if its ever found) until recompense for the stress many phone calls and wasted week and in general poor new car experience i have recieved is arranged. They can poke it. Im right at the point of saying no more. ive lost confidence in the whole buying process with lexus and now believe due to everyones silence that there is a problem with the car and maybe they are rushing to fix damage. Totally demoralised in buying a new lexus.
  2. You could ring your dealer and ask how much an hours labour to investigate is or look into the carista app / obd2 adaptor. That may bring up a fault code to investigate. Anyone on here with one who could advise if carista would cover this kind of issue?

  4. Some cars look better in some colours than others, its the same with debadging, some cars will look clean some plain. Its also a personal choice as to wether it works. Ive debaged some of mine, but driving a lexus is a cut above so they stay on!
  5. Ive read this on the net, pads easily last over 100,000k and can easily last the lifetime of the vehicle. Nice benefit!
  6. Ahh just had enough of it now. Ive had to extend my vw insurance, contact lexus finance to delay the start date for payments as they believed i had the car and contact roadside assistance who also thought i had the car and started the cover. I dont think anyone communicates. Nothing should start until the vehicle has been delivered and accepted. Currently awaiting notification from dealer when car will be ready for collection. Although a conversation earlier today informed me they had no idea!!!
  7. Ive already negotiated discount on the service pack and paid it. Yes i do know that and always run my cars with cameras. It would be just my luck to be involved in a non fault and the other party blames me. without a camera its just two peoples statements . Just as im about to get a new car i dont need to risk driving a loaner. Unfortunately my dealer seems to have high excesses
  8. Yes it was a £1000 excess to test drive and £500 or £1000 if i had a loan car but as i have my trade in it just wasnt worth the effort. Good shout , ill see whats offered.
  9. Does it start from the order or registration date or when you actually collect from the dealership?
  10. Yes i was offered a car on their insurance but like my test drive at £1000 excess not a risk im prepared to take. Only takes one idiot!. They also offered to deliver new car to my house however as im trading a car in i prefer to do the paperwork in the dealership and not in my kitchen. I do appriciate their trying to work around the cancelled delivery but i made plans around it and as im on holiday has thrown everything out. A date and time should not have been arranged if they didnt think they could keep it. Im sure when it arrives i will be happy ,but today disapointed.
  11. Anticlimax collection day. Was supposed to collect car today but unfortunately its sat somewhere waiting for a part of the sport pack thats short. Not the lexus experience i was looking forward to today. My insurance changed over today so ive had to rearrange that with them and their not happy i cant give them a new date. My lexus dealer has gone from arranging a collection day/time to now they dont know when it will be available to collect. Surely when you arrange a day with a customer you make sure it is possible. Disapointed today and not the dealership experience i wanted. To get the deal in sept it was all has to be signed in sept this deal wont be on next month ( to be fair its an excellent deal) now ive signed and the deposit is paid the rush seems to have gone.
  12. Well i guess i may live n learn with the black. I have been showing my other car at vw shows last couple of years and previous cars for last 15yrs or so. The ct will get cleaned weekly so dirt will not get chance to build up. Hopefully lol Been showing this for the last two years, shes a mk2 golf g60 edition one supercharger in lhd. I know theres no love on a lexus forum but shows im used to cleaning. the superchargers like a grenade waiting to blow so ive had my time with it. Selling and trading the up in and returning to lexus tommorow. Will get a couple a pics up soon as i can.
  13. Yeah , well, interior should be ok. Wheels im hoping will hide brake dust better and ive been researching washing, drying and protecting black body on detailing world so im hoping to keep on top of it. Currently have a vw up which is being traded in and a mk2 golf g60 supercharger im selling so the theory is it will be easier to clean one car than two!. Says hoping lol. Will get a few hours attention inside n out each week hopefully.
  14. Well w/end away in london which is why im not picking the CT up until tuesday. Thought with the congestion charges id see loads. Lost count of the amount of prius's weve seen and since friday weve seen 3 CT's and thats all been today. Strange so few!

  16. Yeah for sure, probably could have picked up friday but we have a weekend away booked so its tue. Didnt want to pick new car up and leave on drive for 3days. Had an old Ls years ago then went vw, so very glad to be back. Just something special about lexus. thats reminds me to update my piccy

  20. Well after quite a few phone calls today i managed to get a better deal on the service plan and the deal on the car was good so its been reserved, they didnt ring me back so deposit tommorow. Ill get in the dealership friday morning sorting all paperwork. the mrs likes black so being a sport it will be triple black,, body/wheels/interior. A lot of black! expected collection will be oct4 so not long to wait. Well happy.

  22. Yeah sport is my level. The extra for the sport + doesent add value for me. i would consider an older vehicle as you say but my mrs is very ocd and likes new no previous owners sorta thing. Ha im going to check it out now just in case. Id love a top spec model but convincing her will be an uphill battle lol
  23. Yeah just goin to suck the service costs up, ill pay up front n get it done. where did i say i didnt like the advance trim? Im looking at the sport because it mostly has the features i would like and thats my price point. Id love a higher model but would make my monthlies to high.
  24. Had a few conversations with the sales exec working a deal out. May get there. The one thing that bugs me is whatever car dealership its the sale story... Sign up today the offer wont be there in a week. Every single car ive looked at its the same story. At the end of the day buying a new car should be a pleasurable experience not a omg if i dont sign today ill never Get the same deal again. I wont be rushed. I buy a car on my timescale. on another note the service plan is £750! For 3yrs. Does that sound right? I was budgeting £500 or less
  25. Thats so true, years of picking up bad habits, i want to get back to enjoying the drive and not just getting there as quick as you can.
