What lowering springs did u get ? i am thinking about h&r.
I put the H&R's on mine. I found the ride to be better and it's dropped it by 2" in the back and looks like about 2.5" on the front. I did the alignment this weekend and it all came into factory specs,,, it's right at the max, but it is in spec. I got the springs from Euro Carparts, they were about £200.00. They had to order them but only took a week.

I lowered my 2001 GS430 last weekend, no problems for the first 5 days. No rattles no cluncks nice and quiet. It has now developed an all mightly clunck from the front. It just happened, there was no small noise to start with, and now it does it every time you go over a bump. It won't do it if you bouce up and down on the car?? I put it on the ramp today and had a very long look around and could find nothing loose of broken?????????? Any ideas?

I need a couple of new tyres for my '98 GS. Like Ol' Man River, it just keeps rolling along providing I put new tyres on occasionally.
Always used Michelin with no problems but local supplier Costco insist on putting the new ones on the rear which is not where I want them. I'm thinking of buying over the internet and getting them fitted locally.
Any views on Bridgestone, Yokahama, Firestone or Avon, any of which I would fancy?
On the rear is where you should always put new tyres, If a car is going to slide becuse you need to do a quick change of direction the rear will want to slide out, not the front. That is why you always want the rear to have the best possible traction. That is why cars are designed to understeer, becuse it is much easier to stop a car understeering than it is to catch the back end slidding.

I Lowered the GS today and she lookes fantastic!!! I used the H&R springs. The ride is almost the same as before, a little stiffer but not enough to bother me. The only problem is I can't find the full alignment spec for a GS 430 sport. I have 4 wheel alignment machine at work (I'm a Porsche specialist) but it doens't have Lexus in the data base and the supplier wants to charge me silly money to update the machine. Does anybody know where I can find the specs? Thanks and if anybody wants the old springs let me know.
Best regards Greg

I just lowered my GS and have the standard springs which are going in the bin if no one wants them. I live by Heathrow. Give me an email or just leave a Msg on here.

I believe the sports ones have 'sport' written on them in the same font as the window stickers.
Yeah, have to agree that it'll only be the lettering that will be different, otherwise they are the same shape, size and fitment.
Im looking at getting a new set for mine, how much did the dealers quote you mate?
£104.00 plus VAT

The headlights on my Mk2 had gotten very hazy over the years and were looking very tired. I looked at the cost of replacement and almost had **** myself so thought i would have a go and polishing them. They look FANTASTIC!!!!! they are clear again and look like new. It took about 30 min with a polisher and various compounds.
I started with G4 compound and a variable speed poilsher and worked that on each light for about 5 min
Next I changed to a finishing glaze and spent another 5 min on each one and than finshed with a hand polish with a soft cloth. Great result and saved a few quid!!

I want to get a set of mats for the new motor and had a chat with the local Lexus dealer about a set from them. They do two sorts one is the sport ones and than just the normal ones. They don't have any pics of them. What's the difference? Does any body have a pic of the normal ones and the sport ones?
Many thanks

I was quoted £475+vat for the rear spoiler from Lexus Southend 2 weeks ago, all I wanted was the LED brake assembly as this part is no longer available, have they suddenly dropped in price recently or are they trying to make a few bob on top. Have read on other posts different prices for different dealers but that seems to be taking the p**s
Found them on USA eBay, place called The Spoiler Store.

I found on www.tte.de the pics and descrition of all the Lexus goodies and that rear spoiler is just a little one, like you find on the new M5, can't find the part numbers for the big one on the rear of the Sport.
I have found a company in the states that do a copy in the factroy material for $160.00 Painted to your car colour and than $140.00 to ship it.

Hi all, first post on here. I have just bought a 2001 GS430. I want to make it look more like the sport. I just called the dealer and got some prices on parts and they seemed too cheap! I got the part numbers off the pinned post. I'm thinking that mayby they aren't the parts that I'm thinking that they are. Is there somewhere that I can look at what the parts are before I order? or is there someone out there that knows what they are?
Front spoiler PZ439-s0430-00 I assume that it's the lower bit on the front bumper of a sport? £191.13
Rear Spoiler PZ439-S0450-00 Again I assume that it's the big spoiler on the back of a 430 Sport? £187.00
Grill PZ439-S0490-00 Sport Grill with mesh? £276.90
If someone could help I would appreciate!
Many thanks in advance

I'm looking at a set of wheels for my IS 300 Sportcross. they are 18 X 7.5 with an ET of 55. Will they fit straight on or will I need spacers to stop from hitting the calipers.
Many thanks, Yank
