  1. In the drivers footwell fusebox I think. Fuses are labelled on the fusebox cover.
  2. Yeah, good to meet you mate and handy to find out the odbII reader won't work :( Shame mr dj0nes didn't show up so no car to work on. Not much we could do other than drink tea and natter.
  3. Thanks ,It would be a great help if you could remember were that fuse is. YES I am a dimwit!! I think it is in the fuse box in the drivers footwell. The fuses are labelled on the fusebox cover.
  4. The amp is a separate unit in the boot under the changer unit. It has it's own fuse labelled as "AMP" from what I remember.
  5. I've done a similar motor swap on a door actuator on another car I had, the motors are available from Maplins if I remember correctly, so as long as the pinion gear can be swapped over, it is another way to repair a faulty unit.
  6. No idea mate. Any chance maybe the button on the fob is being pressed a bucket load of times in your pocket and the rolling codes are going out of sync?
  7. Sounds good. Might be some money in that mate if they come back at a decent price. Can he do a diamond cut finish on them?
  8. Yeah, that was the response I got. I did ask them for dimensions, just for information, but had no response yet. The ebay seller in the states should hopefully reply.
  9. There are a few spring sets for sale on eBay depending whether you want standard or lowered as mentioned above.
  10. Sticking caliper pistons and caliper slide pins are a common issue on most older Lexus models. There are a couple if tutorials in my signature for slide pins and calipers which may help.
  11. Looking at the Borbet Design A wheel, the centre caps look like they would fit. I've asked Borbet for some dimensions, and also an eBay seller in the united states who is sellIng some.
  12. I emailed Borbet (the company who made the wheels) this morning and unfortunately, they are not available through them either. Sh%t creek and paddle spring to mind :(
  13. To be fair to the seller, if his mate told him it was an "S" model, for 99.99999% of manufacturers, that is the "S"port model, rather than the "S"hit model. So a fairly easy mistake to make.
  14. Looking good B) What else have you got planned?
  15. That's odd mate. As far as I know, TTE instruct people to use the dealer network for TTE parts that were previously sold direct to the public by them. They may be discontinued items I suppose, but it does depend how long and hard the dealers tried to look.
  16. Going to be tricky mate. TTE as a customer facing entity has gone, parts are only available via dealers. If Lexus aren't helping, maybe a Toyota dealer can. Although last time I saw new centres, they were no longer embossed (with either Lexus or TTE), but round stuck on logos. Looked cheap IMO.
  17. just had another look at the back of the lamp unit there is 1 small screw with a bolt head as you describe.......is that the adjuster for the dipped beam as for the side light, theres one screw that holds indicator in close to the top of the headlamp, there seems to be a bolt set back in to the bulkhead close to battery is that the other bolt for the indicator thanks again . There is only one screw for the indicator. I'm working off the top of my head on the headlamps as I don't have a mk1 anymore. But from what I remember, there should be one bolt visble from the top, and one tucked down the back (there maybe 4 altogether, 2 for dipped beam, 2 for main beam, but again, not entirely sure). If all else fails, park 20 feet away from a wall, stick your dip and main beams on, and have a twiddle, you should see the beams moving. If it moves left or right, but turn the adjustor back to where you started from and try one of the others. I'm sure the vertical adjustment is the one on the top, and left and right is down the back of the unit.
  18. I just sent him a message too, lets see how arsey he gets
  19. Depends how far you want to travel? I am in Basingstoke and don't mind helping.
  20. Does the thumbwheel on the dash for the headlamp height adjustment not work to raise them a bit? If not, there are two adjustment screws/bolts, for adjustment left and right, and up and down. They have a philips type cross slot in the top, plus they have a hexagonal head on to fit a spanner/socket. One of them is a tad awkward to get to. If you park facing a wall or garage door (not too close as the change won't be so obvious), you will see the beam move as you adjust it. You need to remove the indicator to get the side light bulb out. There is a single philips screw on the top outside end of the headlamp, once removed, the indicator unit pulls out the front. You can then get to the side light bulb holder, which is a long grey rubber holder, which has to be twisted to release and pull out the back of the light.
  21. Probably labelled as "CIG". If the fuse hasn't blown, there is also a fuselink built into the base of the lighter socket.
  22. Silly question I know, but is there fuel in the car?
