  1. I saw your one on eBay, nice example B) It will definately benefit from the 10" rears, they really set these cars apart.
  2. Thanks all for the info. I've only got one so I guess I don't have auto lights. So what does the solar sensor do? It just helps the AC system compensate for direct sunlight into the cabin.
  3. On the GS, the one on the near side is the solar sensor for the a/c, the one on the offside is for the auto lights. Easy to see which is which, put lights on auto, cover up a sensor with your hand, of the lights come on, that is the auto lights sensor.
  4. Think you'll find Redstuff even dustier still. I'm running those on my other car and the wheels get filthy after a week or so. Darn it. I went for them because they claim to be lower dust than standard (the Mintex ones are much worse than standard I've found) :(
  5. I think I have my old amp and headunit in the garage (the changer is intermittent as I let someone have my working one). I'm in Basingstoke.
  6. You probably just need to swap the wires round. Most of the Lexus models seem to have the + and - cables arse about face compared to the kits. Had to on my GS And seen it a few times in the IS forums too.
  7. Definately a nice price B) The interior just looks like a mistake by the seller with the pictures they've used. It would've stood out like a turd on a bowling green if the back seats were black when you saw the car.
  8. I found the Mintex pads far to dusty on my GS, so much so that I am ditching them this weekend and putting redstuff pads on to see how they are.
  9. It is just a standard pulley they are using in that tutorial. The harmonic balancer they are talking about is the fact the crank pulley is a harmonic balancer type, so they are confusing the issue with the puller.
  10. Yeah, the lamp should come on just above the steering column cowl . If you press it on the back edge of the button to switch on "snow" mode, does the snow mode lamp light up?
  11. I would say it is do-able, assuming everything comes undone. I would recommend getting a new adjuster nut and bolt for the inner end just in case the old one is seized into the bush. Make sure you mark up the adjuster so you can put it back at the same adjustment. Also, You would need to get both wheels of the ground, as the anti-roll bar will need to be disconnected which can't be done while under stress.
  12. Nice pickup. Only odd thing is the interior seems to change colour in the pics
  13. I was wondering the same myself. My Sport will get some coil overs soon and the arbs are also on my list.
  14. having had another look at the details, I think "Radio No.1" fuse is the Amp perm 12v fuse (and I think it is in the engine compartment fuse box). The "CIG" fuse in the footwell covers various things in the car including the switched 12v for the headunit and amp. The "DOME" fuse in the footwell, covers many things also including the perm 12v for the head unit. The "PANEL" fuse covers a multitude of things including the stereo illumination.
  15. I've done it in my mk1 and mk2 GS's and not aware of any damage to date.
  16. I think it is in the fuse box in the footwell, marked as AMP, but probably worth checking the engine bay fusebox as well.
  17. That was lucky with the fluid. If I'm honest, I've no idea of the buzzer goes off with merely low fluid, but I would've expected a fluid level warning. If the system suspects the abs isn't working, them the vsc lamp will light as it uses the abs sensors to control the vsc. Fingers crossed on the abs unit. Good luck with the hunt for an exhaust, there are plenty of GS's breaking on eBay at the moment, so there might be one available on those.
  18. Does sound like the amp, and worth checking that it isn't water logged in the boot. I assume you have checked the amp fuse?
  19. Welcome to LOC. Sounds like you have the reasonably common issue of the nitrogen accumulator going on the abs unit. There are a couple for sale on ebay last time I looked. I think there is someone on soarerworld that regases them, so may be worth checking on there. The sport exhaust is no different to the standard model, so you may find one second hand somewhere. You could go the custom route, which you can do for between £300 and £400 if you shop around. If you need the cats, you can get those on eBay and a couple of online places "relatively" cheap.
  20. I think the is300 is the vvti lump like the mk2 GS, so has coil packs and no dizzy.
  21. I had this happen on my mk1 GS. If the LS is the same, then there were a couple of tricky bits when I replaced it. First was the little bolts that hold it on were rusted in real bad, one would not come out and broke off. The other is that the plate is a fully closed circle around the hub, so I ended up cutting a slot out so that I could wangle it into place over the hub etc. No idea how much the plates cost, as I had complete spare front hub units for the car, so didn't need to buy them.
  22. Welcome to LOC Not aware of any reset codes for these radios. It is only a 3 digit code that can be entered, so doesn't make sense that there would be a 6 digit master reset?? Just out of interest, where is the list you mention?
