  1. Mozilla didn't play it for me, but Chrome did Ah ok, that could be it. I'll try a different browser tomorrow.
  2. Yeah, been using them for years on all the cars I've had.
  3. can't really tell where it is coming from, it is just running down stuff on the way to the floor. I would suspect the fuel lines somewhere around that area.
  4. Yeah, if you look at the underside of the car behind the front edge if the rear wheel, you should see the pipe connecting to, if memory serves, a cylindrical can (might be a filter rather than pump thinking about it). If it is a case of having a decent amount of fuel, it could be the filler neck as suggested, or tank seam, although the tank is actually behind the trim in the boot (under the parcel shelf), so a leak in those areas would've stunk the inside of the car out I would've thought.
  5. Is the smell of fuel at the front or rear? I had a couple of things fuel related over the time I had my mk1. At the rear, the rubber pipe between pump and tank split, very obvious leak on the floor though, just behind the rear wheel on the passenger side. Second was a leaking o ring on one of the injectors (actually caused by the cowboys that did the head gasket job). This leak wasn't so obvious as the fuel ran down the side of the block. Once the engine warmed up, it would evaporate off the hot block and not reach the ground. Dodgy as f**k and less than impressed the garage left that leak. Too far a trip to take it back, and not sure I would've trusted them to touch the car again (wasn't the only balls up I found).
  6. I'd agree price would be from £1200 to £1500 depending on how good you can make it look on the paintwork front.
  7. How is the main battery? try putting the key in the ignition and turn to accessory position and leave for 5 minutes. See if it will then start.
  8. Looks very good mate, works well on a dark car.
  9. Yeah, it is aquanuke you are thinking of http://www.lexusowne...topic=73865&hl= http://www.lexusowne...showtopic=50870
  10. Hmm, that's interesting. "P0304 out of order 4 cylinder ignition (as an option-P031C)" Must admit, I don't get why it would report that code rather than P0304 instead. Or why nowhere else mentions the connection between the two codes (asuming it is true of course) I would check all connection to coil packs and check spark plugs, maybe swap them around and see if the code stops or moves.
  11. When I did the latest update disc for my 2001 GS430, that didn't defeat the lockout unfortunately. There wasn't a later update available when I last checked. URL to check for updates (you need the part number from the actual Nav disc currently in the car) http://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/Home/Index
  12. Ah, that explains that then on the 430's. What colour is Suffolk trim? I guess if it is beige, the black walnut panels would look a bit odd maybe. Both the black and grey trims I've had used the black walnut/wood.
  13. Has any work been done on the car recently?
  14. Sport has 18" wheels and firmer/lower suspension, so is a firmer ride. Standard has 17" wheels and softer springs. from what I remember, all GS430 models have Xenons, Sport model of the GS300 have them and were an option on standard GS300 models. I think Satnav was an option on all models. Most Sport models (not entirely sure why some don't, maybe it was an option not to have it) have black walnut trim, so would suit your tastes more from what you say. You could retro fit the black walnut from a breaker if all else fails I guess. And also agree with the others, the GS300 is still a worthy car.
  15. If you reset the codes, does the same code re-appear, or any other codes?
  16. where did you see that definition, would be handy to see it? I can only find P013C defined as "ISO/SAE Reserved", which doesn't mean anything.
  17. A reset is certainly worth a shot. The reason I mention the amp location is due to what it shows in the service manuals. As your diagram specifically mentions mark levinson, and the service manual doesn't, it could be that they are located differently. I have also removed the stereo components from a gen 2 GS300, and the amp was indeed in the footwell, but again, not a mark levinson labelled system. I thought it was worth a mention as I wanted to avoid you buying a unit that wasn't actually what you were after, just in case there were any errors in the literature.
  18. Beatsonic are a well know brand, so I would imagine if they say it will work, I can't see why it wouldn't. Having said that, I haven't found the lockout annoying enough to want to spend that kind of cash on it to defeat it.
