  5. Yeah, if you can find some, then they are straight fit, but as Colin says, needs some wiring tweaks. If you do buy a set, try and make sure you get the switch panel as well, so that the install will look nice and OE. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  7. That does make sense. Been a while since I’ve rooted around a gen 2 GS, but I don’t remember seperate high frequency feeds from the amp, so the tweeters are just paralleled off. You’d just need to decide if the tweeters by the mirror mounts should be disconnected or not (depending on how you want it all to sound). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  9. As far as the power steering goes, if after the refill, the fluid hasn’t all leaked out, and the steering feels good, and the fluid doesn’t turn black, then you are probably ok. I assume it wasn’t actually empty, otherwise you’d have know all about it as steering at a standstill or at low speed would be very tough. Clean the rust up in the boot and stick some inhibitor on it (Kurust or similar). Then keep an eye on new ingress. If water does appear, check the boot seal first of all. Can’t really help with the ticking on start up. Not familiar with the is200 engine. Given the power steering was so low, it doesn’t particularly indicate good maintenance by previous owner, so a good service is probably in order. Oil and filter change (and maybe a dose of flushing oil as well) might help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  11. Depending what you needed to do to fix the suspension, you may have damaged the sensor on that wheel/corner. Easily done when disconnecting suspension arms and accidentally putting some strain on the wiring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  16. I don’t have any specific knowledge of the Lexus air suspension, but my MB CLS63 has air suspension. I had similar issues with mine and the compressor gave up the ghost. Whilst MB failed to find the fault, I did find it in the end and it was a crack in one of the airlines. The fix was a £1.90 John Guest push fit connector. I had to change the compressor as well, but in total a £127 bill for parts and a couple of hours effort. A whole lot better than the thousands I was expecting if I’d had to change out the air struts. It could be as simple as that, so inspect all exposed lines very carefully. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. I’d ditch the satnav. I can count on no fingers how many times I used my Lexus Nav.... lol. A decent modern double din unit could mirror your smart phone display and use your mobile satnav apps (or an android head unit can have satnav installed). If it helps, I have a standard ac control unit that I used when I removed my factory sat Nav unit (which obviously has the heater controls built in). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. The brake booster had already been resolved by the time the GS430’s came out, so you won’t get that issue. Does seem a tad pricey to me though as mentioned by others. I guess the fact I bought my old 2001 GS430 for £2,200 8 years ago, and chopped it in 2 years ago for £1500, that kind of money seems way high. All that said, it was a terrific car.   20. I removed the factory woofer and had a Vibe active sub in the boot, was a million times better than standard. I didn’t go the whole hog with a boot install as I needed the space occasionally, so had to be able to remove the sub when needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
