  1. Don't worry, the pics are best placed on this thread. Just wanted to establish which generation of GS it was for people viewing this and wanting to get in touch with you.
  2. Yeah, never had any issues with Duracell batteries, so does sound like something more sinister.
  3. Never had any issues with any of my fobs for excessive battery usage. Are the batteries good branded ones? I've had issues with cheap batteries before (wierd brand names and certain branded ones like Panasonic and Kodak.
  4. THey look very good B) Stick some tyre dressing on those tyres and it'll look even better
  5. Yeah, I have a private plate on my GS and think it is worth it. Didn't cost much.
  6. That's why I said "Sport" grill, as it is generally accepted as the 'Sport' version. You are one picky mofo sometimes mate, which can be utterly unhelpful in a thread when you know exactly what he was meaning ;) :)
  7. No, the mesh one was the "Sport" grill. Check with your local dealer if they still have your colour left. They sold them for much less than the price on that eBay one when they had stock left.
  8. Depends where the connector was on your VAG, they vary. On the IS, it is on the underside of the dash on the drivers side. Depending where you are, I have a code reader and can check your codes for you if you can't find your golf one.
  9. No, other than a little protective cap that fits on the socket.
  10. The plug is under the dash on the drivers side. Just look up under the dash and you will see it :)
  11. Welcome to LOC :) Did you change all of the plug leads, as the throttle body obstructs one of them quite badly for access? My guess would be that the plug wells have been filled up with water and more than likely each plug well just needs drying out and then the leads re-installed. The Middle Plug well an be a pain to clear up with the throttle body on place though. Should be doable with an absorbent rag to take up all the water.
  12. OK, thanks Steve. Just too far for me to check out if it is genuine before working out the logistics further.
  13. Genuine M3 tape is excellent stuff. I have used it to stick the roof spoiler on for both my GS300 and GS430, been no issues at all.
  14. Hi all, As above, after a favour from someone to check something out for me. Item is located on the Irvine area. Let me know if you can help? Cheers
  15. They are still for sale on eBay from the states.

Welcome to LOC Good choice of model to sample the marquee with B)
  17. Yeah, like the others, the shoes don't have a lot on them brand new, the pads are a different matter of course. Seen a few posts on here about the pin hole braking on the rear calipers, so that one is not so hard to believe and not unheard of.
  18. Anyone in the area of Wheels in Motion this afternoon? I'm booked in at 2pm for a full geo setup if anyone is in the area and fancies a chat over a cuppa while I'm waiting.
  19. you'll be sitting on a gold mine if you have these knocking about :arrrggg-matey:
  20. What was wrong with the useless one? I got a cheap as chips one from maplins, 7 or 8 quid I think, and it works a treat.
  21. The pre-cats are only there to speed up the warm up. It is quite a common mod to open up the manifolds, remove the pre-cats, and weld shut again ;) As for the main cat, as stuno1 says, there are plenty of places that will fabricate a custom exhaust and that can include the main cat if you pay for it.
