  1. The set I got for my Gen 2 said on the box gen 3. When they checked the part numbers they reconned they were the same for both. I'm not convinced they are a perfect match on the rubber feet contours, but they fit fine and are rock solid when tightened up.
  2. I was having problems with the Tapatalk app and LOC for a couple of days, seems to have fixed itself now though. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  3. They aren't coded to the car. The only issue is if someone has set the security code. It is user defined, not a set value. If it has been set, "SEC" will briefly show on the display when powered up. Best to check that before disconnecting in the donor car. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  4. If the lambda is cream crackered already, disconnect the plug and chop the wires off so you can use a ring spanner or standard socket. You only need to worry about the wires if you need to reuse it or are putting the new one back in :) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  5. Welcome to LOC B) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  6. Ive used the aero style ones on my GS for years. Work great. I also use rainex on the screen, so during average rain showers, the wipers barely get used anyway which helps prolong the life that bit further. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  7. I've had the same problems finding the right one for my satnav GS430. I think due to the fact the drivers door speaker is controlled from the boot where the satnav unit is located (for routing the voice commands to the door speaker). I'm planning to ditch the satnav and put my double din head unit in instead. So I'll make my own cables like I did for my previous GS300's. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  8. I wouldn't have thought so but you could drop to 215 40 18 if you want to keep the stagger. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=300963387150 are "Tuner" style. I use them just as an added security method, plus a locking wheel nut on each wheel. Do I sound paranoid?... lol Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  9. I'd go for 225 40 18 based on the originals. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  10. Yeah, they are the right type of nut. I use tuner style ones on mine but thread is the same as those. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  11. What are the tyre sizes on the current wheels? I can double check the nut size I have on mine when I get home. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  12. Welcome back to ownership, even if it is in the wrong model :P Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  13. I've just ordered a set of LED headlamp (H4) bulbs to try out in my Corrado, I'll let you know how they turn out. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  14. Sadly not. There are electronic pdf versions of the manuals though. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  15. My sincere apologies for miss reading the situation. Seemed rather quick to give up on that 4th cap. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  16. Omega, I totally agree regarding its not about the money, to be different, for the hell of it, that kind of thing, hence why I fancy turboing mine. What I'm not quite getting is why a Lexus GS v8? It's not anything different, Lexus already did it from the factory, so don't quite see what it is proving with all that hard work to do it to a GS300. Good luck if you go for it though, it will still be an achievement :) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  17. Good outcome with the sump. Steve, yeah, there is an under tray. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  18. By the time you buy the V8 lump and ancillaries, it would probably still be cheaper to sell your GS300 and buy a GS430. The V8 is awesome in the GS B) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  19. Price now lowered.
  20. You mean convert the gs300 to a V8? It would be easier to buy the V8 version wouldn't it or are you thinking about a specific V8 other than the 3uz? Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  21. Some clown on eBay is asking stupid money for some at the moment. Funnily enough, sounds like it is someone on here, trying to source some more from forum members, to also put on eBay. Some people eh. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  22. Not off the top of my head, but can grab the pages out the manual if you need them.
  23. Nothing major done to my GS430 Sport, just subtle stuff. Too expensive in the main, but I am looking at Supercharger and Turbo options at the moment rather than swapping to other marquee performance models (BMW M5, Merc CLS55). A bit of quandary really. Spend £5k-£6k on a £2k car, that later may sell for £2k, or buy a £10k-£12k ar that is worth £10-£12k later (less depreciation). The only draw to mod'ing the Lexus instead is exclusivity, but an expensive pill to swallow none the less.
  24. Yeah, my GS430 Sport is whisper quiet with the set of winter wheels on too. Not found any summers that are anywhere near as quiet, so I just liev with it and don't notice it again after a few weeks.
  25. That sounds like a really good price. Might give the local Toyota dealers a call to do mine. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
