  1. From memory, The antenna has two positions, depending on the frequency set on the factory head unit. You can use the signal wire to swap between the fully extended or shorter setting, and either connect the wire to 12v or not depending on your preference. Not sure what you are saying on the last bit. Maybe put the diagram up on the thread you are looking at, I couldn't see any denominations like those on my diagram. I believe the SE1 to SE4 are just the shields on the shielded cable between the head unit and amp.
  2. Part numbers for Gen1 and Gen2 are different and the number I can make out in the pic is Gen2.
  3. If you still have these lights on, may be worth having a read through this topic regarding resetting and/or reading the codes.
  4. Very unlikely to find a cheap one unless you can luck in on a breakers parting a GS300 with a decent one. Seems the cheapest way is custom built stainless, but that won’t be online. Depending on location, Tony Banks in Leeds has a good rep.
  5. Looks very decent from the pictures apart from the drivers door. Looks an easy repair though, so shouldn’t put anyone off. Nice little project.
  6. Very nice example, and a nice colour too. Certainly looks the part, although not a fan of those DRLs, they’d have to go if it were my car.
  7. Welcome to LOC 😎
  8. I may have some gen 1 parts knocking around in the garage if I didn’t skip them on the last clear out. I can check tomorrow.
  9. Did you get the back box delete done? How did it work out?
  10. I never had any issues with non genuine pads. Always uses EBC ones.
  11. The radio code is an optional thing. If it flashes up “SEC” when you’d switch on, then a code has been set, if not, there hasn’t been one set. They are mk1 sport wheels that came on it (albeit without the wider rears), so a relatively rare wheel. I’d stick with those and get them refurbed if it was me. If you decide to sell, mention “Supra” in your advert title, the Supra clan love them, so you’d increase the market you are selling to, and with any luck, get a bit more for them 🙂
  12. Yup, the IS200 does have a DMF. Changing it would depend if it is faulty, do you have any symptoms? Bad judder would tend to suggest an issue with it.
  13. The DBPower one I’ve got has been excellent in the 3.5 years I’ve had it.
  14. Yeah, they were UK only, and not even how Lexus shipped them over. Changes were done in the dealership once they landed. There were some bits they saved for the JDM market though, like power fold mirrors. I did buy a second hand set to retrofit to mine, but never got round to it in the end. They were amongst the parts that all got sold on after the car had gone.
  15. Nice GS. As you say, they are a rare sight these days. I still preferred my gen1 GS300 Sport from a looks perspective over both my Gen 2 GS300 Sport and GS430 Sport. Although for a gen1, the Borbet staggered sport wheels absolutely made the look of the car (have to be the 10” rears). I don’t think I could have a gen1 without them. Whoever it was at lexus that chose those wheels, deserved to be on the new year honours list at the time, they were prefect.
  16. Are they the MK1 sport wheels, or a different rim?
  17. Any picture ms of what they look like? I’ve got some gen2 LED rear clusters (and matching fogs), but they may be completely different.
  18. Is the EML on?
  19. Has the update broken Tapatalk support?
  20. The TV program was not using second hand gear from donor vehicles. There is a mass of very funky after market kit available. I’m not saying it is cheap specifically, but in the 10’s of thousands, nothing even close to hundred’s of thousands. Clearly the £900 claim is purely based on someone bagging a write off at a bargain price, and getting all the gear (and probably from a mate, of a mate, of a mate, of a garage owner) Of course if that suddenly became a trend, there would be no bargain EV write-offs anymore.... lol. With places like eBay nowadays, even scrap yards are not as cheap as the used to be for anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. There is a TV show on Quest where they do electric conversions an all sorts of old cars, it’s quite interesting. It’s not butchering an existing car to do it though, it is genuine after market tech, designed for the purpose of retro fit. In fact, wheeler dealers did it years ago with a Maserati. I keep mulling it over for my Corrado, as it does very low miles, and short distances, and would be quite cool I think. Prices will continue to plummet for the after market stuff as well, given the advancements in recent times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. There’s a fair amount of info in this topic https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/117856-vland-headlights-before-we-take-the-plunge/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. There should be like an insert bar halfway inside (to basically form two circular cut-outs), not just a rectangular hole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
