  1. nice work so far B) I'd probably want the wheels out a little further and roll the lip :)
  2. From what I can remember, the tpms sensor issue was more related to them breaking trying to swap them over, but no personal experience with them as I have a gen 2 car. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  3. Both my sets were refurbished, but the place didn't recommend diamond cut for those reasons. So I had one set done in bright silver sparkle, the other set in anthracite.
  4. Yup, not cheap. I've got two sets, one with winter tyres on. The thirds set I'd had a guy bought to go on an is200. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  5. I've seen them on a mk3, so should be fine unless they had been modified in some way (which I doubt) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  6. I think, 28 and 29 bank 2 sensor 1 and 2, 25 fuel system too lean, 19 accelerator pedal position sensor. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  7. The antenna is built into the rear screen. Probably worth checking for any scratches or bad connections and/or earths on the element causing a bad circuit.
  8. Looks ok for the money assuming it is a cheap fix. Always baffles me why someone wouldn't get it fixed if it was that cheap, and sell it for double the money with a bit of a clean and polish. Are they just guessing what they fried?
  9. i've not seen anyone swap over before. Is it just the colour, or is there something better about the later interior?
  10. looks very similar to the one I have. I think any will work on the later cars (post 2000), it only seemed to be the early GS300's that weren't properly ODB2 compliant.
  11. Welcome to LOC B) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  12. There is a screw that allows the DVD unit to pivot up to get the disc out. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  13. Sonax BSD is great, been using it for a while now. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  14. There is a servo which controls the heater temp into the cabin. There are two, one does temp, one controls where the airflow goes. Could be the heat one. If it's like the GS, the heat one is on the drivers side of the matrix, the direction control one on the passenger side. Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  15. Are the arb bushes ok? Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  16. Some great cars listed so far. CLS55 is on my list as the likely replacement for my GS430. Car history is In order: Ford Cortina Mk V 1.6 L Lancia Delta 1.5 Rover SD1 3500 Ford Escort Mk2 1.6 Ghia Vauxhall Droopsnoot Firenza Rover SD1 3500 Ford Capri Mk2 3000 Ghia Ford Capri Mk3 2.8 Injection Lancia Prisma 1.6i.e Ford Capri Mk3 2.8 Injection Rover SD2 3500 Vitesse Citroen BX GTI 16valve Rover SD2 3500 Vitesse Rover 827si ex-met police car Renault Laguna 1.8 Saab 900 BMW 325 Coupe Lexus Mk1 GS300 Sport Lexus Mk2 GS300 Sport Lexus Mk2 GS430 Sport (current daily) VW Corrado VR6 (current toy/project) Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  17. Good spot. None at any breakers? Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  18. good stuff, will be interesting to see the finished article B)
  19. could potentially be the bush in this listing.... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS220D-IS250-IS350-ISF-05-FRONT-BOTTOM-LOWER-WISHBONE-CONTROL-ARM-BUSH-x1-/181457878538?hash=item2a3fbb7e0a:g:G6QAAOSwDk5Tt-qU When the equivalent bush on my old GS was going home, it was most evident on full lock.
  20. This is mine if it helps Sent from my iPhone using Lexus OC
  21. Thanks Tony. Is that definitely what your sons rad is like? When I look at part numbers in the past, the SC430 radiator was a cross match for the GS430 one. ToyoDIY lists two radiator part numbers for the GS430, 98-01 and 01-onwards. Both number cross ref to SC and GS430 98-05. Which is confusing in itself!
  22. Has the battery been disconnected while the work was done? Maybe the immobiliser needs to reset. On the GS, you do this by switching ignition on (don't try to start), and leave it for 5 minutes in the on position. Then turn off, and try to start it.
  23. Do you have a pic of what you mean re: bleed screw? Reason I ask, is mine has a filler cap on it. Which either means it is meant to have, or mine has been changed, which may well mean what you are looking at may well fit if thats what has been done to mine.
