  1. Forgot to mention, if they are to replace standard clear bulbs, make sure you buy the straight pin versions (not the offset pins for replacing OEM amber bulbs).
  2. Any of the chromed ones off ebay will do. They seem to range from around 4 to 12 quid a pair. SilverTec ones seem to be most expensive but I have used the cheapest ones I could find on my GS front indicators (after breaking out the orange cup) and they work fine. Same goes for the side repeater ones. A couple of quid a pair.
  3. Inchcape I believe. Always had good service from them myself when I have been in there.
  4. OK, just to summarise, You appear to be saying that ATF is ATF regardless of being T-IV, Dextron II, Dextron III or any other ATF. And that you can use any ATF you like in any autobox?
  5. So far from various sources, nothing seems to say that your gearbox is instant history if you use Dextron II. Says some judder and some don't. So I guess if you want to take a punt on Dextron II then that is an option, if it judders, change it for T-IV. Terry, are you saying that the people who are feeling a difference in their gearbox when using Dextron II are imagining it? If not, then there must be a difference between the ATF's. Yes/No?
  6. First glance made me think you put tape over the pins it mentions so that when you plug it back in, they do not connect up. Gotta love japanese translations
  7. It is the MOT mate, not road tax. Sorting an MOT could cost thousands (probably won't but it could), so they may take a bit of budging with that one even if you do try and walk away.
  8. For the police, if they got rammed and the gearbox gets knackered the chase is over, so it makes sense to protect it I would've thought. Just cos they got hit, doesn't mean they are written off and cannot continue the pursuit. They aren't going to wait a few weeks to get the car sorted on insurance and then get after the crims ;)
  9. I'm confused mate, I have no clue what you are trying to say from that. Are you saying 5W-30 fully synthetic engine oil is in the gearbox, or T-IV ATF is Dextron II ATF?? Please explain.
  10. Part number for the 5l container is 08886-82025. The Toyota parts department should be able to find it with that number ;)
  11. Or you might need something similar to the flange adaptor shown in this page clicky flange kit is available on this link clicky
  12. Yup, they are controlled by a switched signal (12v I think), plus there is an extra signal which extends the aerial or retracts it slightly again depending on the frequency you are tuned in to. Of course you do need to hack the wiring, remove the head unit or have the switch in the boot which some people are not that happy to do.
  13. I have ones like these on mine. Halfords stock them or you can mail order them from loads of places.
  14. If it is anything like like most BMW's then the service lights can be extinguished by shorting out pins in the diagnostic socket under the bonnet. Google should turn up results for doing it. The reset tool I had for mine was just a more convenient way of doing it via switches and buttons, but essentially it was just connecting the right pins together.
  15. Would be interested to hear if you can find any suppliers for MK1 bushes. I need the rear lower arm bushes as the adjusters have rusted up and I need to get the camber sorted on mine. I really don't want to shell out £500 or more on new bottom arms etc.
  16. The PDF that Ryo is referring to is 57 odd meg in size (not sure when zipped up though but still likely to be very large) so most mail servers would not deliver an attachment that size :(
  17. If they come off the same as the GS, then a credit card pushed under the leading edge should pop them out.
  18. I'm sure on the MK1, if you turned off the traffic announcements, network follow and all that palava, the aerial would stay down when you were using the tape or CD. Maybe the Mk2's work the same. Basically don't leave any feature enabled that requires the use of the tuner in anyway.
  19. Maybe try getting this topic moved to "Lexus General" just in case there are folk who don't read the IS forums.
  20. Excellent mate you in the fella?? Yeah, add me in mate :winky:
  21. Will one stretch over a Mk1 GS? or would they do one for a GS at the same price on the group buy?
