  1. not as big as inicol63's that's for sure
  2. As Wozza mentioned, can't you use the top mounts from the suspension you are presumably going to take off the car when you fit these coilovers?
  3. A few that spring to mind and should be in budget: Renault 5 GT Turbo Renault 21 Turbo Quadra Mitsubishi Starion Turbo Nissan Sylvia Turbo Toyota Supra
  4. sounds like you bought the one i managed to find. the bloke never came back to me now says the door has gone ! Does sound like it. He isn't responding to me either which is bloody annoying :tsktsk:
  5. They are around £70'ish on both sites plus delivery so not bad really. Or you can get repair kits for £25'ish I think.
  6. No idea what a worn tensioner sounds like but you could take the top timing belt cover and have a listen. Should be obvious if it is coming from in the cover. Worth checking the bottom pulley (where the alternater belt goes round it) as that would've been removed to do the belt, so could be loose or damaged. On the plus side, if the tensioner and/or belt does give out, the engine is a non-interference one so no damage will be done. Just put a new belt and tensioner on and away you go.
  7. Not used the Lex but did use my previous car
  8. Try these to see if they have the caliper Clicky or take a look on ebay to see if any Mk2's are being broken on there. Hope that helps
  9. Lets bring things down to earth a bit chaps and chappesses. Talk about over dramatising. Try living in Iraq, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, blah, blah. Then talk about how sh*t a country can be. I hate the price of petrol too, and I cover around 800 miles a week in my GS so spend a lot on petrol, but there are actually worse places to be in this world than good ole Blighty.
  10. Agree with aztec, you will be in for a much harsher ride full stop with 19's on. Look good though B)
  11. I sure hope not, they look cack. :shutit: The rest of the car looks ok though B)
  12. Wouldn't there be a cold feed going to that extra hole on the 'F' Sport box? Seems a bit odd to take hot air from the engine bay which is what you don't want normally.
  13. I've got black with chrome stickers on my GS
  14. If you pull down the cover underneath the glovebox by the passengers feet, you will see a unit with a long cover held on with wing nut. Undo the wing nut and and pull the cover off, inside is where the pollen filter might be. Chances are it is not in there as I'm not sure they were fitted over here as standard. They are not cleanable as far as I know so it is a replacement item.
  15. I'm guessing from Porkys description that the clips are not the same. If the IS200 ones are like the ones in this link clicky then they are definately not the same. Sorry chaps.
  16. To be fair, I wouldn't agree with the MOT guy about the pads being an interference fit. The clips are spring loaded which fit snuggly against the lugs on each end of the pad. If the clips are the same as as the ones on my Mk1 GS (they clip onto the caliper mounting bracket and the pads push into them), then I have some spares that I can send out if you need the odd one. as far as needing the kit goes, you would've had them all when it went in, if they have chucked them or lost them, they should at least meet part of the cost IMO.
  17. The motor can still be turning even if the splines on the impeller that actually "pump" the water are broken. This can happen quite easily if the washers are squirted when the washer bottle is frozen solid for instance. If you have tried pulling the piping off and see if it pumps water further down the piping towards the pump and there is still no joy, and there are no trapped pipes anywhere, I would still suspect a knacked pump.
  18. If you go back to Topgear roots then yes they would be. Will be interesting to wait and see what topgear say if they test the IS-F or LF-A or whatever. When he says they are complete :tsktsk: , you will all be taking him dead serious and calling him the :tsktsk: that he is Nothing wrong with entertainment, but the reviews get just a tad tedious and monotonous, even if they are on cars that are out of the majorities reach, you can still be subjective rather than just wheel spinning and drifting the things around like a pecker head.
  19. Have you phoned your local dealer? I can call Lexus Derby tomorrow if you have no joy.
  20. Been using that for years on the windscreen and side windows, rarely have to use the wipers at all. Great stuff. I avoid using it on the rear screen especially in winter as the rear screen heater struggles more when droplets of water freeze rather than a sheet of water or frost.
  21. I think AztecBandit made some for his so he could use blue leds.
  22. I don't actually watch it very often anymore, the prank type stuff is ok'ish but the proper reviews are as you say utterly pointless. Review starts >> Drift the car and get maximum smoke from the tyres >> Review ends. hmmm... useful.
