  1. I suppose if you use Dave1's example of a resulting death, the payout could be in the millions so I'm guessing extreme pickyness will come to the fore in those cases to avoid paying out.
  2. .....and not forgetting the KITT voice on the satnav commands The intercooler looks good and lower down than original?? which would help airflow. The LEDs are a bit rice burner for me too, especially if they light up the road when they are on at night.
  3. That's not really the point Wozza. Having a big brake kit on your car would in theory make it safer and it should stop better, doesn't mean the insurance companies give you money off, instead they will hike the premium and refuse to pay if it wasn't declared. However, I do think it would be difficult, if not impossible, to measure a geo setup and hang any weight onto it as a determining factor in an accident, after all, you can drive over a pothole on your way out of WIM and not have the same geo setup that you just left with.
  4. No idea about this bike riding malarkey, but I thought the CBT took you from never having ridden to being able to ride? If it does, why would you need to be taught first? If it doesn't, what does the CBT teach?
  5. The autoleads fascia kit comes with all the parts to do either setup. The Toyota panel you have to cut out the hole the size you want.
  6. It was directed at me i believe not you You plumb :P I was just messing about mate, no offence intended. I was just showing an amended quote from you and Rikos and just taking the p*ss at the same time that Rikos had mucked it up, hence the whistle smiley ( ).
  7. Try it on mine :D Has it worked this time! No ....damn it!
  8. Pretty awesome car. Clarkson was a pecker as per usual though. Gives a load of guff about extra bits on the rims to stop the tyres coming off 'cos of how much grip it has, while at the same time drifting it around the corner. That is loss of grip, not demonstarting how good the grip is, div :shutit:
  9. Isn't the Rover front wheel drive?? Not really comparable mate. If you are gonna drive the Lex around the same as the MG, I would brace yourself for a few more "moments".
  10. That's quite some accident, glad you are ok. Mind you, if you call that a "tiny low quality road" I'd love to see what you call most of our roads here in the UK. That road is wide enough for a fire truck, a car going the other way and still enough room for a car to fit in between them.
  11. Googling for spec sheets seems to confirm 245/40 r18 as the Sport tyre.
  12. Anywhere that uses the Huweka mounting method (by the stud holes) not the centre hole. Is it wheel dependent, or more a wheel defect dependent? I have had mine balanced without problems at kwikfit in Derby and also Speedies in Derby. Just wondered why balancing seems to be a problem on some cars but not others?
  13. I'm not sure tyger knows about anything else in HIS world.
  14. You are a card. First you come here and and post a link to a cr%p survey telling us that it backs up what you have been saying all along, then when someone says it doesn't, you say it doesn't matter. Why did you post it then? And you are correct, there will be hundreds more that are cr%p too. You then say that you should use a decicated piece of equipment for features that are not "phone" related, and ignore me again. If you are going to contradict yourself, you should at least go down in flames fighting, not brush it off and hope no-one will notice. Oh, and you are correct, I don't like the LS so wouldn't WANT one.
  15. I can only comment as far as the Mk1 goes, but the amp runs all of the speakers on the Mk1, with line level feeds from the headunit to the amp. When I did my install, I used the line level cables for the new headunit outputs and then effectively bypassed the amp in the boot by bridging the amp inputs straight to the amp outputs and discarding the amp (it is in the garage along with the changer and headunit). It may have just been a knackered amp or sub on my factory setup, but the bass was pants (the sub was working - just no oomph). The sub is now gone with the hole it lived in being a route into the cabin for the Vibe sub that runs in the boot. Much better sound all round than the factory kit (although I'm no audiophile so it would probably get slated by the big boys).
  16. No idea mate. Are you say it is, or are you asking the question? Where is the amp located on the Mk2 GS's? If it is in the boot like the Mk1's then the ebay harness will only be any good for the connectors (assuming the amp is the same), as the actual speaker cables will be running from the boot.
  17. ur right dave, there are more important things in life, yet if we all had that attitude i'd hate to see what the world was like to live in :o forums are good places to discuss topics that people are confused, unsure, etc etc about. there's no harm in discussion mate, you might even learn a thing or to from time to time :) :) Ditto Rob, you have to weed out the cr*p info from the good. That's the point of the forum.
  18. Does sound pressure related if the inner and outer edges are wearing faster.
  19. On my factory head unit, it said Pioneer on the sticker on the back. Not really sure if the tamagotchi or whatever it is called is a manufacturer in its own right or not, so no idea what it would say instead of Pioneer.
  20. I did a walk through for the removal from a Mk1 here clicky, with any luck, the Mk2 should be very similar. Can't offer any help on the connectors/harness/adaptors though.
  21. Cheers. That confirms things, wouldn't want people ordering them arse about face only to end up with the wrong thing. I'm gonna try converting my GS to blue, as the headunit now illuminates on the blue side of things I think it will look better all blue. Anyone know what bulbs the Mk1 GS dash uses and how many?
  22. Sorry Rob I believe you seem to be missing the point I made above. Nothing was sold, it was FREE so what's the issue ? No one is asking you to have it in your Tyres or to pay for it either, or forcing it on you. It's not like I was fed gobbledygook and loads of technical jargon etc and charged an extortionate amount or even a very small amount. Then I could possibly see your objection, & fair enough for that. But here that simply isn't the case. There was no charge. There is the Formula 1 association, and it was free. Job's a good 'un in my book & I'm fairly sure the majority will be very happy for exactly the same if they were offered it in the same circumstances. I had the choice, Air or FREE Nitrogen. I think you are still missing the point Wozza. It is nothing to do with cost, or whether to have it or not, it is the fact that people are not given the proper info. The F1 link seems to be used as some kind of selling point or one upmanship to attract a buyer to a supplier, when in reality it has NO gain. You did it yourself......... .......... and came across as being superior (which may not have been your intention but that is how it sounded to me) because you had nitrogen in your tyres, why? You didn't have a clue, and when it comes down to it, for no good reason other than it was free. Which in itself is fine, but you were trying to "sell" the nitrogen fill to people as having some worth. At least you now know it doesn't have any worth and just comes down to being something you have in your tyres that deserves no bragging rights.
  23. I love it when someone shoots themselves in the foot. So if you want a browser, buy a PC or Laptop, if you want to play music, buy an mp3 player, if you want to watch films, buy a TV. So what is the point of all the BS you keep spouting then? All you are left with is a mobile phone being a phone, you know, for making phone calls. In which case, you don't need an iphone over any other phone. This is where you are so full of twoddle. I have an N95, and for what I use it for, I love it. Menus and everything. I don't care if it is better than the iphone or not, it was free and works great for me. So there :P I guess the fact you ignored my post about your linked survey being complete tosh means you are now avoiding the subject??
