  1. Quite a few nokia phones seem to have this issue with bluetooth car kits in general. My N95 is the same with the parrot ck3100 I have (my sony erricson works perfectly I just hate the SE so didn't want to keep it). The method mentioned above works for my setup too, select all contact and bluetooth them to the car kit. Does mean that it won't automagically sync the contacts either so you would need to send them manually if you add any other contacts to the phone.
  2. If he is talking about the seal between the torque converter and the gearbox leaking, then I would be surprised if it would cost that much to fix unless your mechanic is at the Lexus main dealer.
  3. That is a great price for the springs in that ebay listing. I fitted a set of RS*R Super Downs to mine which I got from Envy Performance. They were £250 I think so not cheap and the delivery time was quite high due to them coming over from Japan. As Randy says, pretty straight forward to fit. It will help a lot if you get both sides of the car off the ground, it will help prevent the anti-roll bars from being in tension and making life more awkward. I didn't document anything, but feel free to ask whatever you need.
  4. Fixed! The tracks were badly burnt but not non-existent, just not attached (only 2 of them). Smply ran a wire to each of the affected bulb contacts, put it back together and it worked! Didn't expect it as I'm not confdent about my soldering skills, but it seems to have done the trick! Cheers for all your help folks Mantior Well done mate
  5. I did a quick search on ebay for the DAB unit Stav showed, it also has an FM modulator in it so that you can tune your stock radio to a free frequency. cheers for the info matey. don't wanna go that route unfortunately. i have a tiny antenna on the car and radio reception isn't as good as it was before (never listen to radio anyhow). That aside, my past experience with FM modulators is bad, never liked them, never get a good enough signal. if there was another way then that'd be wicked!! I think the FM modulator is actually fed inline (cable) to your antenna cable so should in theory work very well regardless of stock antenna or location.

  7. Mine is missing too, keep meaning to call the dealer and see how much they are.
  8. If I'm in Derby that weekend I'll try and pop along for a flying visit. Won't be stopping for food though.
  9. Good luck. I don't think this is a common fault so I think the chances of getting a duff dash (for the part you want) is fairly unlikely, although if you can fix it for next to nothing yourself, then everyones a winner.
  10. I got a pair of new rear calipers for my GS from biggred (via ebay) for £49. They were fast and efficient then so they should be good for recon kits too.
  11. I have a Parrot CK3100 in my GS and also the GF's Focus. Excellent pieces of kit. clicky
  12. I started off with the ZX81 too. From there I went onto the Amstrad CPC464, which I still have with colour monitor and twin disk drives. Along side the 464 in the loft I also still have my Amiga500, C64 and Vic20. Jetset Willy is still my fave game and after having it for somewhere around 25 years, I have still not completed the game. How many games can you say that about these days. A week or two of solid gaming and you have finished. I also have a spectrum emulator on the laptop with manic Minor, Jetset willy, spindizzy and codename mat on it.
  13. This link might help with tracking down the telephony parts locations. clicky. I believe the telephony stuff switched the telephone to the drivers door when a call was made/received, but not definate on that one. As far as the speedo goes, never taken my dash apart so no idea how easy it would be to swap over the circuit boards and keep the rest.
  14. Don't buy the grease from Lexus or Toyota, get it from halfords or Camberly Auto Factors, it will be about half the price. If you do need to go the new caliper route on the back, might be worth checking out these places for prices (they may do seal kits too) Brake Parts or Brake Parts Superstore I'm in Cranbourne, so just round the corner. I'll PM you my number just in case.
  15. Yup, you would have to check the rears for seized pistons instead. The fronts can sieze too, so you can check those whilst it is apart. As far as time goes, to overhaul the pins on the fronts shouldn't take anymore than an hour. I could do the fronts on mine in less than half that but of course if they are seized up, there is no telling how much effort it will take to get them out. Even if the caliper carriers have to come off, that is only a couple of minutes extra work. It only took me about half an hour I think to change Trudys IS200 front discs at a meet need Derby.
  16. Yes mate, numbers are all in the overhaul thread clicky
  17. I did the slide pin overhaul topic you found earlier. I have now moved to Basingstoke so if you need a hand just give me a shout and you could pop round.
  18. hmmm, sounds a tad retarded to do that but will have to check mine now as a spare that can't be used is f**k all use in the end. Yup.
  19. Any more specific details on this? My spare just looks like a 8½" TTE wheel the same as the one fitted to the front. What is special about these other nuts? I use Tuner type nuts on mine and they are the same all round for the front and 10" rears so can't see why they would be any different for the spare I run mine at 36psi the same as Dave does.
  20. There are normally a few GS's breaking on ebay at any one time. You could contact the sellers and see what they want for the exhaust. Failing that, some of the 24/7 online breaker networks should be able to help on second hand parts for the exhaust.
  21. As aztec mentioned, Neil did mine and sent me a few different colours too. Good price too.
  22. Does sound like a fuse, have you pulled them out to check them or just done a visual in situe?
  23. Hi Phil It is for a 1999 GS300 I put it in the Is200 because when I have put a problem in the GS300 section the response is not very good I'm afraid Thanks Norman PM TheDon, he has changed a MK2 stereo I believe with all wiring covered to change to ISO connectors.
