  1. To each and their own as they say..
  2. Correct! they are headlamp washer covers. soon to be colour matched to the bumper.
  3. I'm sure someone will pipe up with the correct guess of this mystery part...
  4. This time it took ALOT of patience.. Colour coding next phase...
  5. Hi Mate winglets no idea.. lol just fancied them. Both part numbers are in the pics for the weatherstrip 67895-30040 67896-30040 The Check strap covers are 68622-53010 68621-53010 L+R I have friends in the states and JPN so I get all my gear from them. However Amayama is a good source for JPN parts.
  6. Ahoy! Reading Japanese blogs I've decided to speak to my friend in JPN to try out these little cosmetic OEM addons. First up RCF rear bumper winglets.. Already painted in 1H9 Mercury Grey so it was a case of dremeling out on the inside and as it comes with 3M adhesive it will stick right on. Next up.. GS300H Gearknob - difference is that the IS300H doesnt have the matching contrast stitching. Fairly easy to install, just pull down the leather boot and unscrew the old shift knob. Feels and looks nice imo.. Weatherstrip Mod. - This I find very useful as no joke wind noise is slightly reduced and closing of the front door gives an even more upmarket 'thunk'. B Pillar is also is cleaner as rainwater cannot get in. Weatherstrips are again from an older GS. Easy to install. Just mask off the trim area and use a trim tool to lever up, the first 2 clips will pop off giving enough room to fit the rubber tab into the door. Use alcohol to clean the door edge as the weatherstrip is self adhesive. Test fit without peeling off the backing so you are confident where it will go and then commit. Next Upgrade are CT200H Door Check Strap covers.. And Lastly as the room rolls their eyes.. Genuine JDM Alarm Stickers.. Did not source parts from Lexus UK as they are well overpriced. It was a combination of Japan and the USA. Lesson endeth.. lol
  7. That's strange first thing when I put the new microsd card in it initialised the firmware update..
  8. Latest Premium Nav update is to buy (on ebay) a map update and in turn in will update it to the latest firmware. I think the nav update costed around 60 quid.
  9. Hi guys is this an F meet or other models under the marque can come too? #gooseberry
  10. For an IS350 BUT they have identical caliper/disc/pad combo..
  11. I would say why not for the discs I bought a pair from ze germans for about 110 delivered.. as they are 334mm they are REALLY heavy.. about 22kg for the pair. Lexarse charges I think 80 quid each...
  12. Pads and discs Euros dont stock.. However German sites like Autodoc, buycarparts.co.uk etc have a wider selection. Nothing special about them its just the rarity/application - Discs however are sided due to the vents (front anyway) You did ask about the key - are you referring to thieves with scanners and they can 'grab' the code off your transmitting key and open/start your car with that information via some specialist moody tools they have.. Store the keys in a foil lined box so that the transmitting signal is blocked.
  13. Brakes are a conventional setup for changing Discs and Pads.. The only difference is that the brake system has an accumulator so when it comes to BLEEDING then you will require Techstream to do so. So unless you are going to change the fluid just go ahead and change as per normal. Nowt different there.
  14. You will need to undo the 4 x 17mm bolts to release the hub bearing assembly. Have to be super careful as the ABS ring is built into the bearing and its kind of pressed into the suspension knuckle. If your mechanic is competent he will be able to figure it out without damaging it. The shield is 'sandwiched' between the hub and suspension knuckle.
  15. On a side note: as the old calipers and brakes fit IS220D and IS200 - I'm sure these can be sold to these owners to recoup the initial investment. So the whole setup could be cheaper.
  16. After having a near miss in my IS where I personally found the brakes wasn't there when I needed it. I have decided to experiment with 4 Piston calipers. Yes I know my previous post contradicts myself however (Yes I will eat my hat) I decided to upgrade on a budget. This does not foul under the standard f Sport 18's I bought the following for this conversion in which some things may not be necessary. 2 x GS300H recon'd calipers. (these are GS/IS250/IS300 (MK2) also) New IS350 Dust shields as the IS300H are too small to clear the calipers New bolts - Carrier, Hub New shims New Pad plate and pins Brembo pads (18 quid on Amazon) ATE discs (from Mr Auto) New IS350 Brake lines *however I think standard IS300H will fit Techstream to bleed the system VHT Matte black engine enamel VHT Laquer Fleebay Lexus Decals. All in all with all the genuine parts it costed me around £500 - From a 296mm with 28mm thickness to a 334mm with 32mm thickness I can say the brakes are extremely sharp with less effort from the old setup. Old brakes still was around 27.8mm thick and pads has plenty of 'meat'. Bang for buck for a piece of mind safety aspect I found it well spent in which I am sure other forum members disagree and could spend that elsewhere. Happy to help with part numbers etc I have this documented. However I did not buy from Lexus UK for any of the parts as they were 30% more expensive.
  17. You reckon matey? 16 quid new.. Didnt think they were worth much :)
  18. I have 2 massive blue ones on my mantle piece now lol
  19. Ahoy! Part II of Stealth Mode.. Black Pearl Front and Rear Badges and OEM Lexus Rear Spoiler.. Thats it.. Skint now... :( Enjoy

  22. Apologies if this topic has been done to death, but curious what forum members do to bring in the 'coin' :) I 'was' a Product Manager for Vodafone (Newbury) and at the moment looking for a new job.. I'm also a silent partner with my best mate in a small workshop in Essex who specializes in fettling and repairing Hondas.
