  2. not sure but you could need new head bolts as well as the gasket kit ,shame you aint nearer craig i would give you a hand to do it as have done them in the past on other cars
  3. Me to or even australia ,just a shame they won't take me as i would have already gone :D .Still some nice places in this country though that aint been tainted by the piky scum you are ref to .south coast is still nice in places
  4. i would be more than happy to pledge a fiver to keep the old girl on the road .
  5. i always go for bigger cars as i used to repair crash damaged cars and the bigger cars always do far better than the smaller type cars .the way i see it the further away you are from the impact the better chance you stand of walking away .saying that give me a volvo any day they are built very strongly .Best car i ever repaired was an audi 80 with pro-con-ten safty system they did away with it within a few years due to the amount it cost to put right ,even a small impact moved the steering wheel down into the dashboard and the seats etc ,cables running everywere under the car and around the gearbox .i would think the gs300 mk1 would do quite well in a impact due to its shear size although the position of the fuel tank was a worry when i bought mine
  6. Thought about doing it yourself craig ,surely a man of your capabilities and a bit of help from this site you could manage it ,
  7. i see that last night and noticed it was a is200 ,did not know they went that quick :P .certainly gave it a bit of welly
  8. i used to be in telecomms working for nynex and then telewest , installed alarms for ADT ,now work for cancer research uk (self employed)as a rag collecter ,better hours and don't have to work with t******

  11. must admit though he was on his own and did not even take my name ,think i am gonna fight the fine using the fact i was about to reverse as my defence and if that fails i will point out that i multi drop for a living and see if that works ,if it fails i will pay some more money into the big pot of gold for all the scum to dip into to pay for **** all that benifits me ,How can they give traffic wardens that type of power they will have dustman doing yer for for speeding next
  12. Thats what i thought raz but i think as he was a traffic warden the power had gone to his head ,probaly bullied at school and now seeking his revenge
  13. Not sure mitch hopefully just a fine ,was in me van raz just about to reverse into an alley way and had took it off after comming out of a shop to ask directions to alley so had only driven about 10 yards at the most .
  14. have a read of this http://autorepair.about.com/library/faqs/bl047a.htm
  15. I do seem to drive quicker if the music is loud but can't see how it slows reaction times down ,but in my opinion some cars are a bit over the top with the music especialy in residential areas ,perhaps it is an excuse to combat this noise
  16. How much do's anyone know ,was gonna ask him but he was to far away by the time i calmed down
  17. For not wearing a seat belt ,got done today in blackheath by a right little jobsworth :tsktsk: :tsktsk: .Did not even have to take my name etc just called the reg through on his i think it makes me look :tsktsk: big walkie :tsktsk: talkie.Felt like throttling the :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :)
  18. look at the second one down http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_...rch_full=SEARCH Go on to autotrader and search for civic under a grand there is a nice white one with slight rear end damage 130bhp looks nice and would do you
  19. honda accord or as said before some sort of toyota
  20. Just never tell a main dealer how much you have to pay because thats how much the car will be that they source it for you ,always give them a lower figure .notice you are in the south east have you tried lexus tonbridge and canterbury as they have always given me first class service
  21. Thats what i was thinking for this years holiday ,out of the lot what one is the best for a quiet holiday away from the lager louts and clubs etc :)
  22. Best holiday has to be barbados about 8 years ago lovely island ,friendly people ,three weeks of paradise .Worse holiday was st lucia ,racialy abused most places we went see people with guns for the first time ever ,island was nice but ruined by the locals jumping on you every were you went .my wife was unable to go out on her own due to the local men (animals)approaching her .And to top it all my mother in law fell down a roadside ditch and broke her leg :P at what was meant to be a carnival and turned into a political demo with people smashing bottles on there heads and chanting ,whilst fighting each other .Never again
  23. I think the ones in busy roads with kids crossing should stay ,also every school should have one outside the entrance .i think they cause accidents on major roads like a roads because of heavy braking so would think they will be replaced with the specs type camera that records speed over a certain distance .
