  1. Price a bit steep for me but someone else might like them http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...7902887962&rd=1
  2. looks realy good steve ,never thought you would match the sport wheels for looks on the mk1 one but they do that nicley.
  3. I agree the black lettering is a pig to clean as well ,polish seems to collect in the groves ,might just get the inserts redone as wheels not to bad .
  4. just see your post good point they might not .will probaly see you at a meet one day steve so hang on to them.
  5. If you sell them i would be interested as two of mine are a bit scratched ,have you any pics of your car with the new wheels yet
  6. Steve what sort of nick are the center caps in
  7. steve have you had a second opinion on these wheels ,seems a real shame to scrap em
  8. Steve put em on ebay stating there buckled some nutter will buy them ,some people just don't care as long as they look good
  9. I know they have to read higher than you are doing but at 100 road angel reading the speedo says 115 ,this seems to far out to me ,plus when my father in law follows his reading is only just out compared to the road angel unlike mine what is miles out .same with my van when i use it in that 80mph in my van gives a road angel reading of 78 ,would try it at higher speeds but there are no hills steep enough for long enough :P
  10. My mk1 has standard sport wheels(18") instead of the se models 16".for some reason the speedo reading is out by 10mph at 90mph so reads 100 instead of 90 .why do's this only affect the mk1 and not the mk2 as the wheel size is the reason i was given for this
  11. It's almost or could be the same colour as my car aspen green
  12. :o Been about abit that car then.I would do some digging with garage previous owner etc over the next day or two and then phone trading standards and c.a.b for ammo ,then phone him and hope he crumbles for a refund,i think you will uncover more :tsktsk: on this car before the weeks out ,good luck
  13. So it could well be clocked by previous owner although that is a good price for cambelt and pads ,i would phone the garage and ask some questions ,how far is this garage from were you bought the car is it local or is it nearer to previous owner .I wonder if the seller took car in p\x for a bike or something as if he did car would show on his books and thus make it a trade sale
  14. I take you have informed him of this problem, was the cambelt change done by a dealer or by himself ,just thinking if you know who did it you could find out the mileage at that time and then have some ammo as to when the clock was altered as he states there is a receipt for the work.
  15. Then i would go down the route of acusing him of being a trader ,was the log book in his name before you bought it ,is your reciept on his company paperwork and is the sale going through his company ,if you paid by cheque what was it made to him or his company
  16. Is the mileage stated on your reciept by any chance
  17. Thats a shame as if it was sold by him through his bussiness you could just take it back ,i would try to find out how long he has had the car and wether or not he imported it to sell or for himself also has he sold previous cars as this would make him a trader and give you far more rights ,as a private sale you have not a leg to stand on i'm afraid.the only thing to do is to tell him the problem and insist on your money back or he compensates you for the difference in mileage ,If that fails perhaps ebay can help
  18. I would say the ls is quieter and smoother but not as agile as the GS300(not that you would call a gs agile)the ls is faster but not by a lot .rear leg room is bad in the gs but very good in the ls ,and in the mk1 gs the boot is tiny .
