  7. you will probaly find they do collections from the people looking and donate the money to charity ,there are are few people (about 70 )in a street near me that do it .the road is packed with people from 6 pm till 10 pm every day up until xmas they make thousands for the local hospice not to mention the thousands of kids who enjoy looking at them ,so it is not a case of getting a life more one of making other peoples better .
  8. While I COMPLETELY agree with you mate, how do you explain all the ferking cameras on A-road dual carriageways, such as the A43 and A14 where there are no pedestrians at all, and howcome there isnt one outside my kids' school where it's a 20mph limit and all the tossers in their small cars go at over 50?? /rant (sorry) ← Well said that man ,i have first hand experiance of this as i live on a 30mph road opposite a primary school ,the little nova brigade come down at about 60mph ,we have sent in petitions put up posters got our local member of parliment to speak for us and nothing has ever been done ,but you drive a mile down the road onto the A2 (three lanes with no children for frigging miles )and there is shed loads of cameras .What are they protecting nothing but those dumb pheasant birds cos there the only thing that crosses the A2 .all of the time we have cameras on these roads i will stick with my road angel which getting back to the first post has been brilliant and more than defiantly saved my licence on a number of accasions .so road angel it is
  9. yeah i know what you mean they must put bit of a drain on the old electric bill, when i put mine up i did think :tsktsk: what have i done ,seems like i went down homebase to buy some and just got carried away (bloody kids) ,agree about the fire risk part as well never leave mine on when i go out and always turn them of before we go to bed and they all have trip switches on them
  10. i think they look the dogs danglies and my kids love em :) ,is that not the point of xmas tacky lights etc. i have gone a bit overbaord with mine this year ,nothing to bad though just a ten foot father xmas on the roof and about 200 foot of lights will post a pic when i switch em on as they look very garish, horrod and damm bright :D .
  11. No it will be just run in at that mileage :D .As long as it has a good service history previous mots ,bills etc all should be fine .check the rad for leaks ,make sure it brakes nice and straight as they do go through discs,if its the sport model check alloys for warping other than that they are bullit proof this thread makes good reading as well http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...opic=14638&st=0
  12. :o that must have been bad for the video to be cut of like that, wonder what happend after
  13. They would look ok on a silver or even a white car
  14. Hit down on them not into the wheel ,use the same type of motion as if you were using the rench but to be honest if they were but on by an air gun you will struggle ,i used to get this when i did stolen recovered cars and 5 times out of 10 it did not work and we had to either smash them of or drill them ,sometimes with vw's another key(the lug type) used to fit from another car .a bit sneaky but if you are with the aa let down your tyre and take of the other nuts then call them saying you have a puncture and have lost the key ,bet thay will get them of :winky:
  15. good luck to you ,keep pushing them and they will cave in

  20. oh sorry im glad that,s all you have to worry about... your not really interested in helping people... you are just a .... well say no more ← Please do not insult other members of LOC, this member was just reminding you that your CAPS LOCK was on, after a previous member of the "moderating" team had warned you once. We are all here to help, but would just rather if you didn't type your complete thread in CAPS. Regards, ← So lets have this right he was warned not to type in capitals .a bit ott dont you think, the blokes just been given a bill for £2000 im sure thats the least of his worries
  21. what is all this do not use capitals ,do's it realy matter ,in fact makes it easier to read for me and my bussup eye sight. :D I had a gearbox go on my T5 at 35,000 miles and it was out of warrenty by 2 years ,i kept on at volvo and in the end they paid half of the final bill (£3500).I would keep on at lexus especialy the garage that gave it its last service ,i would have thought that part of the 90,000 service must be to check cambelt condition etc. If they recommend the change at 100k then surley they should be responsible if it breaks .I would pester the hell out of them until they help in some way and if its the first one they have heard off then surley that go's some way in proving the fact that they should last that long and yours is down to a fault with the belt ?as in my experiance if they say 100k they realy think it is gonna last a lot longer
  22. I think TDi might be your best bet as the engine is the same as the one in the GS300 and if i remember they had one there a while back with a turbo on it so might be able to help with the s/c here is their link http://www.tdi-plc.com/
