  4. aint no southern phrase i have ever heard of.wonderd why i kept seeing it in posts
  5. i know what you mean i think the 10" rears realy make the car ,would love a pair myself.i think buying an aftermarket set is your best bet ,there are some nice ones out there that resemble the sport alloys and have not got the problems of warping and cracking
  6. They rarley come up for sale secondhand and when they do they fetch megabucks ,also you take a risk buying them as this is a known fault with them ,hence most 300's just have the standard size sport wheels .lexus charge around £400 for a new one .would have thought ebay your best bet seen them on there a few times but always get outbid
  7. i see ,thanks for clearing that up maz ,dont think i want one then :P
  8. Thats what i thought cause the bloke at currys said it was the best one when i bought one for the wife for crimbo and now me is thinking they have a new one out .bloody typical :D
  9. I read a post somewere about the 10" rears cracking ,have just been looking for it but have had no luck .its a lot of pressure to lose out of a new tyre ,i think i would have a new valve fitted and see what happens ,and if it still leaks it has got to be a crack in the alloy
  10. realy sorry to hear this mate ,glad you are ok hope things look up soon .
  11. that is a nice car ,but would think a lot of problems getting it through the ESVA.As for the rover 220 turbo dont be to embarrassed as they are a very quick car and much underated .
  12. What about the toyota landcruiser colarado they are a very good 4x4 ,go for the vx and you get leather etc .stay away from jeep as everyone else has said they are unreliable and the earlier models suffered with electrical probs.i like the misti warrior pick up thing only down side is things like shopping etc as the back is open and they look pants with the truckman top type thing on .
  13. Tend to agree with you there but they have had some realy bad press latley in my local rag ,cheers claire i think i will give the local paper a ring on monday .
  14. enjoyed them so much i have watched it twice ,that golf is only a 1.8 turbo so must have some serious mods
  15. Nice car ,you will probaly find the colour description depends on the country ,regent green is probaly english colour and the other the american version .same colour different names
  16. nice buy pete ,cant believe they wrote it of for that damage just shows how much the bits cost from lexus .
  17. looks like the slam panel took all the impact ,as long as the chassis leg is ok looks like quite a straight forward repair.must have gone under something like the back of a lorry
  18. Tonbridge washed mine twice and did such a bad job i told them never to do it again ,not to mention the bloke washing it drove it into a wall causing damage to the number plate holder .
  19. problem is i have a feeling that once you pay it you admit being at fault.and you aint wrong stuart about it being chavhaven .
  20. Think its an instant ticket matt just for being there after 10am but not 100% certain so will give that idea some thought .yes pete they work in the shop over the road .my main point is that can he's machine have the wrong time or can he fiddle it ,i.e set the clock himself a couple of mis fast
  21. during the course of my work i have to drive down a pedestrian high st in chatham(what a :tsktsk: hole),if you can do this before 10am it is ok. but after 10 am you have to buy a ticket from the town hall and pay £2.50 or you get a fine .i unloaded today and left the shop at 9.55am only to find a ticket on the screen and the :tsktsk: standing by my van .told him it was not time yet but he pointed out that his machine said it was after 10am .with this i opened the ticket to see the time on it was printed as 10.01 am .so he had done me for being 1 minute over :tsktsk: by his time,do i have a leg to stand on to get out of this ticket as £60 is a lot of dough .the bit that realy bugs me is i was unloading into a cancer research charity shop and the warden new that which just gos to prove to be a traffic warden you have to be a heartless :tsktsk: .i also have a couple of people who watched him ticket my van and say it was deffo before 10 am .any help to get out of this fine would be appreciated.
  22. Same problem with mine i have two remotes and both are the same dispite changing the batterys in both, have to be standing very close to the car .asked lexus to look at it but they had no luck either .sounds like a nice car you have got what colour is it.
  23. mattew if you can phone the previous company owner they might be able to tell you if they had it serviced at another lexus garage ,sometimes these company cars do the rounds and are driven by different departments in a company often hundreds of miles apart could just be the case with this one and the belt was changed by another lexus garage .are there any other stamps other than the reading ones
