  1. Nice one Chris . cheers for all your help !! Being the fifth owner does put me off a bit , but you are right it does look fine and dandy ! Going to ponder on it . Jon .
  2. A up . Cheers my man ! The is300 i have looked at has the same wheels (18") as yours ! are they lexus ones ? (His has the badges/name on them) + they are unmarked , which ponits to a caring owner ! Jon .
  3. Hi all . Its been a while now , batting for the Honda corner , but i have spyed this tit-bit for sale at a dealer . It is an IS300 in blue and is in cracking condition the sort of condition you would expect somebody from the club to own . Sooooooooo can anybody help me ??? Its L333 CUL . While i am on the above car has sat-nav , will it be the dvd type or cd rom version ?? Also if the cd player gives up the ghost (As they do) can i use any old stereo (single din size , etc) and still be able to enjoy the navigation or do i have to replace like for like ??? Cheers . Jon .
  4. My 03 Honda Accord has the very same problem on its 17" grey penta`s . They have all bubbled around where the valve comes through the wheel . Must be a Jap thing !
  5. Would you say its worth seeking out a se-l or would the se be ok ? (Its nothing to do with taste its more to do with "Is it worth the extra"??) Cheers boys & girls ! Also the RX i am looking at is a "53" , if that makes any diffrence to spec ???? Also the RX i am looking at is a "53" , if that makes any diffrence to spec ????
  6. Hi , could anybody enlighten me on what the is the difference between the 2 models ? I have seen a 53 (newer shape RX300) as a se-l so i was wondering what else will i get compared to a se ? Many thanks . Jon .
  7. Wellllllllll its all down to personal choice , the Accord (2.4) is faster (top end & 0-62 dash) it has more toys (sat-nav as standand) the stereos are just as good as each other , although the is200 does look more sharper in the styling . Its all down to you and what you like .
  8. I had a is200se for a couple of years and now have an Accord 2.4 exec and i must say the Accord is the winner , not by much , but still the winner as it feels more upto date (I know the is200 has been around for a few years more) I am sure the new is250 will kick the Accord into a "cocked hat" ! But between the 2 the Honda just scrapes it ! Hope i have`nt offended anybody ..... :shutit:
  9. Put back to normal , Good mate of mine had "L8" in front of his name , so he changed the "L" to look like a "1" got stopped twice in a week by the same bobby , Still did`nt change it got caught again and lost the plate !! i suppose he was asking for it . If you read the blurb it says "you don`t own the plate only the right to use it"
  10. Use them all the time when i had my is200 and have never experienced any problems.
  11. Pity you did`nt catch the ****** , get his/her pen and draw all over his/her face ...... now thats gonna hurt to get off !!!!
  12. so the rx-8 is not really a hairdressers car then? ← see what i did there, i looked at your name and..........................i'll get me coat. ← "WOULD SIR LIKE THE HANGER LEFT IN OR OUT"
  13. Get it bought .......... you know you want it ! :P :P :P
  14. Cheers ears ! Very well spec`ed and even has the "love or hate" 17" grapite wheels . its all down to personal taste . I would have had another lexus but it would have been the is300 and they are holding there price toooooo well for an end of line model . So second best for me .
  15. "mate there is no better feeling than geting into an IS200 Turbo, ............and thats why i will never sell this IS" NOT EVEN FOR A SUPERCHARGERED IS250 ???? MMMMMM GO ON YOU KNOW YOU WILL WANT IT ........ JON .
  16. "so the rx-8 is not really a hairdressers car then?" :D Sort of , although its one mighty fine piece of kit and fantastic to drive ! the only downsides it seams to attract the local knobb-ends/pissheads ! "regarding the cost.... maybe if you stopped swapping cars so much, you would save a bit of money ;-)" Come on we all love to change our car , don`t you like the feeling of picking up a new "toy" ??? :winky: "Welcome back Jon.......................you still lurking sort of " Sure am Pete ! B)
  17. Well i am back ........ sort of ;) , After selling my is200 in Jan this year for a RX-8 (very thirsty and always getting vandelised ) . I have just bought a new shape (2003) Honda Accord 2.4 Exc (manual) which in a way is like a modern day is200 (6 speed , 4 door , saloon) but with a better performance (0-60 in 8 sec top speed 143) and full consumption and more gadgets (eg - Touch screen Sat Nav , Cruise (on a manual) Dual Zone Climate Control and the list goes on !) I know it cannot hold a torch to the new is250 but it only cost £10K (www.fow.co.uk) with 40k on the clock with history and 1 owner ! Which i think is pretty good value (Comparied to the is200) ok people will say its not rear wheel drive , its not got the badge etc , etc ,! but its the next best thing to the new model (And a lot cheaper) so once the prices soften on the new model , i will be back (sort of) :D Jon .
  18. Been there with my Pug 206 gti (front to back) and one of the reasons why i sold my Mazda RX-8 because of the same trouble (Keyed 4 times) twice on the roof , once down the drivers side and one accross the bonnet , all at different locations/times . ****ers !!!!! Althought when i had my is200 it was never touched !
