Mine was getting horrible so I used a green scouring pad and meguirs metal polish. It's not a quick job but well worth it to bring the exhaust back to a nice shine!

Hi all,
Just a quick one.....As you may have seen ive recently fitted an HID kit. I read the manuel and it said something about turning off the auto light settings (if applicable).
By fitting the HID kit will i no longer be able to use the Auto light function without problems??
I havent tried so far as i didnt want to blow anything up! lol....
Thanks,
Matt

In some ways i kind of like those looks!
Im 25 now and had the car since i was 22. You get the jealous types that think oh daddies money etc but thats just jealously as they spent their money on a saxo not a Lexus.
It just makes me feel prouder when i think that i have worked my butt off and can afford to buy nice things and if people think im too young to have a 4 door saloon, well they obviously have never driven one!!
Just enjoy the car mate and let their jealousy be there problem...... :)

Knew that Lexus just 'had' to be different!!! haha....
Yeah i have thought about dipping as they are bright so might stick mine on 2 as that might stop people wanting to shoot me!!
I love the HID's best money i ever spent and god knows why i havent done it sooner!! Thank Kam for the link and for everybodies help!!!
Now onto the next mod!!!
-
Prolex have them on their site too just under £130.... :)

Just been out for a drive and they are amazing def worth every penny!!! My only concern is dazzling other road users now!!! Hahaa.....
If anyone is thinking about it, don't think anymore, I was a sceptic about these kits and I'm regretting the day I thought about it!!! it's the best £56.99 u can spend on your car!! :)
thank u guys for your help and for the link to he seller!! :)

I would say best to google Lexus Is200 bodykits as there are a lot to chose from and everyone has a different taste. A favorite is the TTE front bumper or the stock Lexus kit a lot of people refer to as the TRD Kit.
Prolex is a good place to look for parts for the IS200 parts alternatively Fleabay is always a good place to get ideas!
Tuning isnt a major cost but it depends what you call massive. Supercharger bolt on kits are about £4,500 off the top of my head.

Okies...That was what i was worried about, I know the 18's on the white one look awesome but its slammed and i didnt know if it'd ruin the drive of it that low!!!
Ok so if i want that style 19's are the only way to go then????
-
Ok cool I think i should be able to get something similar to tide me over till i can actually get some of that!
Just ordered these to go in the full beam...

Hopefully they should match quite nicely....now just got to get some new fogs!!!

Thank you for your comments, i want to go for a street drift look.....Not to the point its completely insanely slammed and wheels are toed in beyond belief but just enough to make it look a bit different without losing the ability to use it as a daily drive.
I was thinking of either of these sets of wheels:
18inch Rota D2
On an IS
OR........
19inch Axis Hiro
On IS
-
No i havent....... :(
Are these avaliable from most decent hardware stores??
-
Hi Guys and Girls,
I am soon to be replacing the stock 17inch grey multispokes on my IS200 when doing this I am also going to be fitting a set of BC coilovers very shortly too.
Now i am in a battle with my head and my heart whether to go 18's or 19's.
My head is saying 18's becuase they are easier to live with (i use the car as a daily drive), look awesome when the slammed to the floor and cheaper to buy....
However, I always wonder if i get 18's will i wish i'd bought 19's as they seem to fill the arches.
I know i cant fit more than a 19x8 if i want to avoid arch work and with 18's i can avoid having differences with the speedo etc.....but has anyone else gone through this decision and what were your deciding factors?!
Just helping me decide!!!
Thanks people!

Hope it all arrives ok!
Cant wait to get these fitted!

Thanks for all the help again and i ordered two kits one for dipped and one for main in the bulb types Parthiban said and in 6000k from the same seller on ebay that is in this topic on here link also i was thinking of buying led number plate lights anyone got this on here ?
Yes ive put LED's in the rear number plate. Its an annoying job as youve got to do so much to get the number plate lights out but a really worth while mod!
I have got these bulbs in my rear number plate and they fit nice and snug!

What is the whole horn mod???
Heard that some people have done it...can someone give me a bit more info??
Is it just a case of loosening the bolt and spinning the horns so you cant see them through the grille???
-
Thank you that is a help and really does show the advantage of such a small box to house!
Thank you!
-
Cool cool thank you! So 6000k are the ones to go for so will the 8000k or the 10000k fail the MOT then??
-
