hi just got your pm not been on here for a while i had a parrot kit installed to get the sound coming through your speakers you do have to tap into the speaker wiring in the kick panes in the footwell the i am not 100% which wire goes where but the diagrams on here should show you the mute will work for the rear shelf speakers etc as for the mic you can just pull the roof pannel down a tad and place your mic above you rear view mirror it looked quite simple to do just a bit daughnting for a first timer

Hi, Do you have Traffic Announcement turned on? If so, try turning it off. If it's this it happens on most radio's with a traffic system. KEITH ta isn't on i never have it on only when needed as it does my head in it always interups a good song lol its very strange because judging from other ppl it seems some ppl have great reception and others poor so it may just be a manufacturing fault would be interesting to know what year of manufacture have good reception and which has poor mines a 2003 52 plate and reception pants anybody elses around that year

i removed hu and all connections were sound so im thinking it must be the amplified ariel unit its just annoying crackling sometimes its not too bad but other times its terrible

thats it as long as you no what your looking for its pretty simple at least people now no that it is possible to do

i know there has been much debate on this before and having recently been trying to sort one myself i no for DEFINATE it CAN be done for all the se owners with amp and nav you can plumb a car kit into the car even the parrot kits as that is what i have just had in for the techie minded people on here it is done by hard wiring directly into your front speakers through the kit pannel thus bypassing the amp, wiring in to both fronts enables the nav to work properly as before and both fronts will also integrate the phone kit as previously debated, you take all your lives etc from the kick pannel wiring and not from behing the head unit, then to enable the kit to mute your rears which are amped behind your hu there will be a spare socket with pins in i cannot remember off hand but one of the pins in there is a mute pin so connecting the mute cable to this mutes the rears as well after watching it be done it is pretty simple to do and could be done by anyone competant enough to use a soldering iron for the un-techie people anyone living in or around the doncaster area i know a guy who fits these within 2 hours and chareges roughly aroung £50 to do it and i would gladly pass on his details via pm i will try and get pics of it so location of the wires will be easier ALSO YOU DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE ANY BYPASS LEADS OR ANYTHING NOT EVEN THE LEXUS ISO ADAPTORS

might give it a go just thought there maybe a quick fix as taking the hu out looks quite a daunting task from the guide posted on here

is there anyway i can check if its connected properly or something as i like listening to the radio and its getting in my ti ts

anybody else have poor reception i have a 2003 is200 se with standard HU and areal but my radio reception is poor its alwayts crackling and begining to do my head in is this the norm or is there something wrong somewhere that maybe you guys in the know could point me in the right direction

thats what i thought about the panel looks hard to get behind and i think one of the dents is right where that top bar is

thought i may to be fair though the top one is hardly noticable its only real tiny so may try your suggestion on the main one and see if it works and how its looks in the other case of removing the card to get to the top dent are the hard to knock out or not

would that really work though i think i would still have to remove the card as the top dint is right on the sill just under the bottom window seal

right i have now a big prob i hope u guys can help with 2 plonkers were fightingthe other day and my drivers side door panel got dinted i need to no how to remove the door panel to get to the panelto pop it out it also has stretched the paint and given it the orange peel effect i no a bit about how to reduce the latter but any help would be appriciated i want to have a go at it myself before i take it to bodyshop my mate owns one n said have a go urself if you dont get it right ill sort it so y not

hi just got my new car its a 52 plate is200 se navigator and just noticed that the rear bumper is slighlty lower on the passangers side than the drivers side is it possible i adjust this and how would i go about doing it any advice would be appriciated another quick question i have is that i have also noticed that a few scratches have been touched up using the lexus touch up stick and clear laquer from the dealer but its rather untidy whats the best way to tidy them up rather than a re-spray i no they wont be perfect and some will still be visable with a small line but the garage were i got the car did one for me and it looks neat and you can hardly tell i have buffed a few out myself but the laquer over the touch up is stopping it buffing down any advice on this issue would also be appriciated thanks in advance

thanks for the replies just the help i was looking for this may sound stupid tough but my amp is mounted in the boot near the spare wheel is this normal it is the one from the factory has it has the sticker or is this the nav box is got a couple of connectors in it etc would like to know as every1 else said its behing the glove box so im assuming mine is too and thats the nav box
