  1. theres a fella (I mentioned in a seperate thread somewhere) who is selling the 11 spoke sets, both colours available, for £120 a set!!! I'm havin a set of silver (My car is green) as soon as I get paid
  2. RR is my initials, so i'd give £300 for RR 1
  3. he was walking back down the hill when I left, lol, i'm gonna have a think about them alloys on ebay, seems he gets them often so i can wait plus I got my 70k service and MOT comin up.... :(
  4. Had mine 19 months, had 55k on the clock when I bought it, yesterday it got to 68k, like a few others, I have to consider ever increasing running costs, altho fuel dropped nearly 10p a litre this month, so i've a few cars in mind that i'm looking at swapping for, need to test a few first, possibly an Audi A3, Toyota Corolla, or a Golf, not too old, whatever I can get for £5k then If I do slightly better in life and can afford to come back to Lexus, it'll be the LS 430 I go for, but we'll see how things go with the IS
  5. got a reply of the buyer I messaged and she said this: "Hello, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. Yes, they did go cheap, but I could have paid alot more for them, so I was very pleased with the price I paid and yes they are as good as advertised, brand new looking, couldn't fault them at all. I would recommend Bluemackie's business any time. Good luck in buying a set yourself"
  6. seems too good to be true to me tho, altho £120 is cheap I can't throw that cash away if it is too good to be true, so if anyone else is looking to buy a set i'd much appreciate any feedback, lol
  7. bluemackie777 he is selling sets of 4x alloys quite cheaply, used but as new so I assume he refurbs, as he offers the different finishes, but he is actually offering 4 wheels, not offering just a refurb service, i've messaged a previous buyer of his asking if they are really "as new" what do you guys think? EDIT: NOT REFURBS, TAKEN FROM ALMOST NEW CARS, NOT REFURBED AND AS NEW, I'LL POST PICS WHEN MINE ARRIVE...
  8. u tried Viagra? lol just kidding
  9. I have a cap over my lighter socket, taken from fords, cost a couple of squid off ebay, couldn't steal one from the scrapper no one is allowed to smoke in my car
  10. u shud have fled the scene if the second accident before anyone could identigy u, and then claimed off the silly woman in the Jetta for ALL the damage
  11. no cos sport only came in manual, and if its a 2001 is it an X? cos if its a Y then tax will go up.
  12. I got quotes from everywhere to beat my £1100 renewal quote, managed to get quotes of under £1k and my insurer managed to knock their £1100 down to £940, and Adrian flux quoted me £890, so I rang Flux, and they knocked it down to £820, so i'm with Flux now
  13. if the width is 235 I think they are supposed to go on rims that are 8.5-9 wide, don't quote me cos i've not looked it up recently
  14. unless anything has changed since it happened to me, the fact that u provided the tracking detils again shud mean u get ur money back again, just keep hole of the tracking details of everything incase it happens again, its no excuse for ebay and/or paypal to mess u about tho, they did it to me, its nothing more than a really irritating inconveniance I claimed, then it was suddenly reversed again, and they requested tracking info, and I had lost it in that time (as the case had closed, I didn't think i'd need it, more fool me) and I asked for the original email I had send that included the details I had previously sent, and they didn't wanna send it back to me for data protection, so I emailed reminding them it was my data, going to the email address that it came from, and they sent it which did eventually lead to me gettin the cash, thankfully, but it was just so long-winded, and not necessary
  15. hahaha if u wanna hide ur plates with a spray, u might aswell just use black spray paint from halfords
  16. I think the rims shud either be Anthracite, my preffered choice on red, or Chrome, if u want it to look like a drugg dealers car (some people do :P ) and the badges need stickin back on the boot, otherwise, its very nice
  17. mines always doin it, theres been a few posts about it before, with suggestions like putting more copper grease (i think) in the brake calipers as the noise could be just movement of the pads, but I have both my lower arms changed and the problem eased off, but never totally disappeared, and its come back as bad as before, i'm just puttin up with it lol
  18. seems a little odd to me... Clicky
  19. mine sticks now, it didn't when I got the car, altho its fine when its clean and i give the seals a wipe
  20. I sold something a while ago to a con artist who claimed he never recieved it and claimed thru paypal, I had no money in my account as i'd withdrawn it and they still took it, leaving me at a minus figure, meaning that if I sold anything else it would just come off the minus figure until the "debt" I "owed" paypal was cleared, (although it finished in my favour and I got the money back) so I don't know why they can't give you the money back...
  21. mine creaks too, had the lower ball joints done and was told everythin else was fine, the creak reduced but was never completely gone, and its back like before now
  22. having spent ages looking for insurance quotes this morning, I would only save £200 if I change from the lex to a 1.4 Corolla T3 and £150 to go for a 1.6, lol, I expected it to drop by about half but for some reason it hasn't, so I looked for a corolla that was a little older so I wouldn't have to put much to mine and the insurance was still as high, so i'd only save whatever the difference is in fuel, and to change from my Lex to the Corolla for the sake of fuel alone isn't somethin i'm ready to do just yet, the savings just don't justify it, and when I rang Toyota they told me the salesman was supposed to be in, so i'm not sure if he said that to guilt trip me into accepting a smaller amount in px, either way, its another route i'm not yet taking now, lol, thanks for the opinions, i'm shocked at how much my car has dropped in value in the 18 months i've had it :(
  23. they start at £3,800 and go upto £5k ish and to be honest my car isn't immaculate, as nice as it looks, the dent in the door mentioned in another thread a few weeks ago, the ill fitted bodykit, and the flaws in the interior, would cost me too much to have fixed i've spoken with Toyota again with regards a px as their car is immaculate and the price is very reasonable, i've basically told them that if they can give me £4k for mine, then they have a deal, and I said I could come in Friday and the salesman said he would come in Friday even tho its his day off, if he is coming in on his day off to say he can't meet my price, then he's wasting his own time, lol, and missing his commission, so i've got my fingers crossed
  24. My car is a 2000x Is200se Auto in Green with Cream interior, Mileage is 67k, parkers value it at £4,465 with 80k, and so with the few minor dings and scratches I cancel out my lower mileage and assume mine is worth the same.......? Toyota offered me £3500 but i'm pushing for more towards a little corolla T3 on a 54 with 33k, i've already looked at the car and its immaculate, in red, i'm just trying to work the figures does anyone have any questions opinions?
