  1. u keep hitting the wheelie bin :D no its sounds ike that minor common issue of pads moving in calipers, mine used to do it, i've either gotten used to it and just dont hear it anymore or it sorted itself out, I suspect i'm just used to it cos i've never reuqested it be remedied
  2. £58 inc VAT, forgot to ask for gold lol
  3. unfortunately thats how warranties work, same with golf shoes from my own experience, cheers for that, basically a warranty is the specified term from original purchase date, for example, if the battery was to last 2 years 11 and a half months and each time u got a fresh warranty too, u'd never end up payin for a new battery, and the retailers wouldn't make money Cheers for the advice, will batteries from Toyota be the same, cos Toyota is closer to me...? I have only been doin mainly short journeys since owning the car for 2 years so i know thats no good for the battery, i'll just have to do some good runs with a new one
  4. My battery has a pale yellowy powdery residue accumilating on the top, and isn't holding a charge for much more than a day now if I don't use the car, Halfrauds or Stealer, or elsewhere? any brands that are good value for money?
  5. I got a replacement Lexus one off ebay for £100 delivered and fitted myself, hasn't let me down after 2 years, have a look on ebay and see if theres any
  6. only if u put stuff on that people wanna be nosey about...
  7. I questioned it and this is the reply I got... "hi mate just to let you know ive had this car for 2 years and when i got car it had 32k on it and now its got 45k ive got loads of mots with it when i tryed selling car 2/3 months ago it still had same millage?thanks?"
  8. This was on auto trader about 3 months ago at £4k, I never noticed it was Cat D then, as I contemplated going to have a look based on the fact that my cars biggest drain on my wallet was for fuel, the seller also offered alternative wheels than the ones pictured, as he wanted extra for thos on it in the pics
  9. also I should add, if someone genuine puts a bid on of a stupid amount, it normally means that they are interested in the phone, but have noticed a scammer has bid on it and are trying to stop you being ripped off, I noticed its a Samsung omnia, I just sold mine about a week ago for £245, auctions are finishing anywhere between £200 and £250, possibly a little more, but definitely no more than £275
  10. Hi, will u update me on what its like, whether it does enough etc when u get it? as i'm looking at getting one myself Cheers
  11. I have lots of eperience with selling phones on ebay, here's a few tips: if you must use the auction listing, make sure you cancel stupdly high bids as soon as you spot them look at what other people have sold the same item for in the past, so you know what bids are likely to be genuine remember, feedback isn't always as it seems, if someone has 40 positives 100% for 1p ebooks, its nothing, if someone has bought 5 Ford Escort parts, playstation games, and a rabbit cage with normal prices, thats proper feedback I always use buy it now listings, and require immediate payment, that way, the item doesn't sell until the money is in my paypal account POSTAGE - use a trackable service, and keep the details, paypal and ebay get plenty of bad feedback, but if you are careful, you can't lose out Any questions, feel free to ask
  12. i'm not sure yet, can't get it til I sell the lex, I like the grey one pictured, but i'm not too bothered with the the colour as most of them look good
  13. Having had a good look around, It was a tough choice between a fiesta 03ish, or a Yaris t3 sr or sport, I'm gonna go for a Yaris 1.5 Sport as the performance is much better (on paper anyway, haven't driven one yet) and the economy is still excellent, now I just have to sell the Lex so I can buy one.
  14. well my 2000x IS 200 SE auto is for sale, for £3,200ovno, its not mint but it is in excellent condition and you would have plenty of change to cover the odd ding... LOC Cars Section
  15. theres lots windows mobile pda's available, just do a search on gsm arena then have a look on ebay, I have samsung onmia at the moment, it is unbranded and works fine with o2, but the touch screens on windows mobiles aren't quite like i-phones...
  16. Sold my 2cv to get the Lex in the first place, one i'd rather not go back to really... :D +1 for the Aygo. When you say 'I need a little car', how little does the replacement car need to be? For example, do you want a supermini/city car (Aygo), or a family hatchback (Focus)? as fussy as I am with regards the car not being too girly, thats as fussy as i'm allowed to be for now, suggestions in both those categories are welcome, if a focus or similar can be as cheap to run and service as a fiesta then all can be considered hmm, A-class never crossed my mind, i'll have a look at those too another added to the growing list - on the plus side, there is a fiesta for sale on our famile but it is old, its like the last resort, comparable to the cars they have as a back up on the long top gear challenges, lol, but everyday it looks more like a possibility...
  17. I had to change my cd player when I got the car, my dash tray is the same as yours, and my walk thru was correct for our model, there is another walkthru somewhere, I think I actually downloaded a walkthru in pdf
  18. my budget is restricted to the value of my Lex, or below, i'll have a look at some fiestas this week and see what I think, cheers
  19. Hey how u doin? fiesta is already on my comparison list i've been spending much less time online since the summer, been a turbulent time at work, being as i'm unemployed as of today, lol, isn't cube fairly new (therefore a few grand to buy?) I don't know what an S-cargo is lol, but i'll have a quick look
  20. I need a car that returns good fuel economy, (as good as possible) and is very reliable, and doesn't cost the earth to service, and can fit all 6'4 of me in it, also can't be a girly car any suggestions? remember the cheaper to run the better
  21. I only sold mine last week for £55 inc p&p, I bought from USA for about £70 delivered
  22. use a courier, it'll be much cheaper...
