  1. will have to get confirmation on that then, cos I may be doin my battery more harm than good, I know the missus had a samsung u600 and then e250 and the battery just got worse cos she was charging frequently... EDIT : Incidentally, you do not need to empty the battery before charging. Modern lithium phone batteries can be recharged however full they are. (taken from a phone website) Cheers Stevie
  2. I'm not 100% sure if this still applies but it used to be that you shouldn't re-charge your battery too often, ie. pluggin it in every other night when its only half dead, always best to leave it to die and then charge fully over night, the downside being that sods law dictates that when its ready to die you will need to use the phone and it'll die as soon as you dial or connect lol so I carry a second battery for convenience and treat batteries as I was previously recommended, full charge only when its dead
  3. just the drivers door, i use just the key rather than the buttons from time to time, just so i know the barrel is fine
  4. I think the main thing i'd like on my SE is the tints and spoiler, I don't like the sports pedals, The sport looks better being a little lower too its all stuff u can do to an SE anyway
  5. His was the IS300 I spotted a couple of years ago Sam Nixon on The Bill had one, in black, with 4 flat tyres...
  6. i too have had n95's for a couple of years, changing for an omnia but then going back to it, I find the buttons a little small for texting but not a major issue, my battery runs down quicker if I use net or sat nav so I bought a second genuine battery
  7. i thought the dry ice method was best for plastics as opposed to metal....?
  8. well done stav, new XJ it is found it on another forum
  9. a friend of mine has just 'invested' in a kit off th'web, surely if used properly this kind of thing won't happen? not that i'm gettin a tattoo
  10. Thanks everybody for your contributions, opinions, etc
  11. Good point, agree with this 100%, while I don't think there was too much of an "offence", part of what makes this place so nice is the community spirit we have on here where everybody's trying to help everyone else out. But still, if he had a set spare, and it was just the one set then it doesn't seem too bad as it sounds like the original price was something a bit silly? Just out of interest, how cheap were these wheels originally? And if so cheap, how on earth did the original seller get them so cheap that they were still making a profit on them selling them at that price? They ranged from £120-£140 + £20 postage, £140 were unmarked, £120 had like one chip on each wheel, the seller did upgrade work for Lex/Toyota and kept the "take-off" wheels as they put it, and got to sell them on
  12. I did get a couple of sets extra as detailed in the very first thread, and sold them on ebay for more than i paid, when the bargain ones had all gone, mine were listed at a good price (£230 for 4 new wheels isn't bad) they were never offered on LOC, I did tell LOC members of the initial seller selling them at £100 thats correct. (11-spoke ones tho) the seller sold I think in excess of 20 sets in total so I didn't feel i was depriving any LOC members as I only had a couple of sets to sell on, I never saw it as an issue, and I still don't lol
  13. Please look at the post i made (26) on you link........you seemed to get it then I stand by everything i've said on here
  14. Ah I see what makes me such a bad person now I sold my old 5-spoke wheels (that I bought for nearly £300 shortly after buying the car in 2007) for somwhere in the region of £140 but because I bought new wheels unbelievably cheap, i'm somehow obliged to offer my old wheels cheaper still but I didn't do this, I offered them at a similar price to what other 5-spoke rims were selling for at the time on ebay so by inflated price u mean I offered them at a cost greater than what the replacement wheels cost so to refresh on the facts: I BOUGHT WHEELS CHEAP, I SOLD DIFFERENT WHEELS FOR MORE WHICH INCLUSIVE OF P&P I MAY NOT HAVE MADE ANYTHING EXTRA ANYWAY I BOUGHT 11-SPOKE ALLOYS ON EBAY AND SOLD THEM FOR MORE THAN DOUBLE ON EBAY, WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LOC I NEVER OFFERED ANY PRODUCT FOR SALE ON LOC AT AN INFLATED PRICE COMPARED TO WHAT I PAID FOR THE SAME PRODUCT
  15. Gord i'm not getting your point, the wheels i offered were my 5-spoke ones, not the 11-spoke ones off ebay I offered my 5-spoke ones at the going rate of other 5-spoke ones on ebay, nothing to do with 11-spoke ones I bought cheap I sold my 5-spokes for about half what I paid for them originally
  16. thats exactly it phil I never ever bought anything to make money from LOC members and yet since last summer I was given a reputation by a few members as a rip off merchant, when its not the case at all, so the purpose of this thread was to make myself clear
  17. it would seem that is the case phil
  18. still isn't proof I offered items to LOC members at an inflated price
  19. exhaust - guilty whats that got to do with the price of wheels?
  20. HERE ARE THE FACTS, YOU ARE FREE TO JUDGE ME HOWEVER YOU LIKE NOW, BUT ITS ONLY FAIR YOU HAVE THE FACTS FIRST Wheels came up on ebay cheap around summer last year, I brought the listings to the attention of LOC members as they seemed too good to be true, so I could find out how genuine the seller was, one or 2 members took up this offer, and I did too, I bought 2 sets, one silver and one grey, to see which looked better I stated I would also buy more sets if available and that my intention was to make money selling them on I put my silver set on the car and sold my old 5-spoke wheels which I did place on here for members, at a reasonable price compared to similar listings on ebay for 5-spoke wheels at the time, a couple of members said my price was too high, based on someone else getting a set in similar condition for £40, a bargain is a bargain! Another member posted, on my LOC ad for the 5 spoke rims, the ebay link to the items I was selling on ebay http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...st&p=582579 My 5-spokes sold on ebay for close to my original asking price, the buyer was happy with them I bought 2 more sets of 11-spoke alloys in the meantime and listed all 3 remaining sets on ebay at a price well above £200 each AT NO POINT DID I OFFER THESE 11 SPOKE ALLOYS TO LOC MEMBERS AT AN INFLATED PRICE please feel free to ask any questions relating to my buying and selling of wheels and i'll answer them
  21. if I remember correctly the chap didn't even mention the working condition, it was only cos I asked he said it was working, but still didn't edit the listing, and he included the amp (although I didn't need it), I was the only bidder, I got lucky with it my original was on its way out as opposed to completely goosed, and I was (and still am) very impressed with the sound quality of the oem unit, it was an easier alternative at the time to fiddle with bypassing the amp and buying all the bits seperately, at the time bypass leads were £55+ and the housing was about £15, was worth the extra £30 to give ebay a try rather than merely hi-jacking ur thread, I had a quick look on ebay and there are a few on of each type, just typed lexus cd as quite a few people don't use the model number
