  1. someone has a front end on ebay at the mo, i'll see if I can dig it out Edit: Here u go, item 350223116211, he hasn't put a price tho, have to ring or email him
  2. Click the Thumbs for large images:
  3. if i get it back it will be repaired and back on the road. I didn't mean to sound like some kind of vulture with my post, my apologies, as I do feel your pain, and its not the shortest of processes to get things sorted after a bump, hope all works out Ibby
  4. I know after u go thru deeper than usual water u shud drive for a little with brakes applied, first thing i'd do when gettin home is open the bonnet and check theres no water close to any wires, obviously if u've made it thru without any evidence of issues, like warning lights comin on etc i'd assume not much water went anywhere it shouldn't, I dunno if its safe to do so but i'd leave the engine running so the heat can evaporate any water that did get in, thats my logical thinking tho so please anyone correct me if its wrong lol
  5. I know nothin about parts prices, he's got quite a few bits on, is he consistantly cheap or is the other stuff what u'd call average price?
  6. that would be sinking to their level lol the way I look at it is that my car is just as they say, a toyota, with all the toys and a badge to go with it, and i'm more than happy telling people that as its never let me down, never failed to put a smile on my face when I get in it, or watch the indicators flash as I walk away remember its not like its a posh KIA
  7. gutted for you, I nearly lost the front of mine in a transit van that completely ignored the roundabout he was approaching and I was already on it with the intention of goin accross the front of him, he saw me last second and locked up, leavin me just enough room to pass (if you do get it back i'm interested in parts :D )
  8. funny you should say that as in another thread that was about motorway driving a member said they had been told to drive at 80 to overtake a slower vehicle, and this was during a driving course
  9. ah ok, so when I leave my car i'm best just pressing once rather than twice, i'll do that fom now on
  10. this might sound like a silly question, but what is the use of an alarm that disables the interior sensors? I know it is deadlocked when pressed twice, but I would prefer the alarm to go off when someone gets in thru the glass
  11. please do, mine could do with similar treatment, i'm also looking for a full leather interior at a nice price too, then i'll be smiling again when i'm driving my once lovely Lexus
  12. you'd think they'd just do away with all the zeros...
  13. bit harsh that, just had a read thru and all looks JAE/LOC/Lexus related
  14. I never said Jamie was uninsured, but I agree, I do my bit by being fully covered, and hope myself and no one else is hit by an uninsured driver
  15. I assume there are plenty of people who can't be bothered with the shopping around and the companies just try their luck with a random renewal price and those people just accept it You should ask you mate Jamie, he is lot younger than yourself, 20yrs at the time he had his supercharger fitted and he was not paying nothing like you are mate :o i don't know if he told them about the charger mind :winky: When you see him again ask him if he has told his insurance about all the mods on his new micra :winky: lol, Jamie's insurance is not my concern, I know theres lots of drivers with undeclared mods, whether Jamie is/was included in those I honestly don't know, i'm happy with my new quote tho :D
  16. my original (and cheapest) quote on my IS200 was £1470 in 2007 as, despite my age (25), i'd only been driving 6 months, and have a claim, and don't live in a particularly crime free area I went with Adrian Flux for the second year as they were the only broker to quote me under £1000 (Equity Red Star), which was over £200 less than everyone else at the time, including interest as I had to pay monthly (£91pm) this year the renewal is £812 single payment, or £93 monthly for 10 months, so I got a fresh quote from their website and it came back £518! I rang them and they have slashed the £812 to £517, thats correct, they have just knocked £295 off my renewal quote, simply because I phoned them up, and the only detail I changed was that the car is valued less this year, and they weren't pushy in any way, they simply said they'll post the quote in writing for me to check the terms and so I can shop around while I still have 2 weeks to renew Just thought i'd share my story :D
  17. my head unit failed 2 years ago, it was tempremental, sometimes worked, sometimes didn't, so i tried the cleaner disc and it stopped working altogether...
  18. Rory

    17 Or 18

I had 225/40 18's and the speedo was more accurate with them on too, chrome didn't look bad on mine either(see pic), altho I am not a fan and went back to original 17's
  19. just keep it off the road SORN if u have somewhere to put it
  20. count me out then if price is gonna be in excess of £200
  21. i'd be interested too for £50, as i'm sure everyone else would, hope that makes it easier Jay...?
