  1. see if u can get ur hands on a spare set of light clusters incase u get it wrong too, not that I don't have faith, but i know i'd screw somethin like that up very easily lol
  2. yeh they did build lefties for europe, so thats an easy one, I imagine that if someone converted from right to left the biggest clue would be the centre instruments, aircon and stereo switches, as the buttons are all reversed too, so if all the knobs and buttons are the same as a rhd, then ask the seller more questions :D since lefties were made its unusual someone would go to the effort of converting tho

EDIT: GOT SOME Altho I can't find any locking nuts now so if anyone can advise on that one...? Cheers EDIT AGAIN: never mind, I got some now

    Which Wheels

altho not quite the same, i'm thinking these look really good and i'm still swaying towards my chrome ones, anyone agree?
  5. 6 years or 60k for timing belts, regardless of what the book says :)
  6. for 'cost'? does cost mean vat free and then add a pound or the actual cost to produce the car? cos I imagine the latter would be one hell of a deal!
  7. Yeah I'm sure you're right, my error for assuming it would be the same for both - and yes of course TTE and TRD are separate so no reason why the practice of one would apply to the other I wouldn't quote me on that tho, i'm only makin the assumption based on what i've come across previously but as lexus dealers are franchised, some dealers may even prime them before sale and some may not, so either of us could be right
  8. the car is for illustration purposes, he told me about 2 months ago he never comes across the bumpers, he gets altezzas in quite often, the door in that listing won't even be off that particular car
  9. the lip I got off john was not primered when he got it, I read somewhere that that was the case too, can't remember where tho, however TTE and TRD are seperate anyway aren't they? TTE probably do them primered before the dealers get them
  10. yeh they are above the £500 mark but not primered, so they need full prep before spraying too, my old IS had a fibreglass one on and it was rubbish, altho thats an accurate description of my driving too at the time, so it is no surprise that I cracked both the front and rear lip, the side skirts weren't made very well, I'm guessing so anyway as they were screwed on thru the sides of the car, ie, visible screws, leading me to believe that when they were attached along the bottom, they didn't meet the side of the car lol DON'T BOTHER WITH THE FIBREGLASS OPTIONS :D
  11. shouldn't cost too much to post tho...
  12. I just sat with a cd on and twiddled around till I liked the sound, when I was happy I skipped a couple of track to make sure my settings were good for different tracks, if not, I tweaked some more at the moment I have the bass set to full, the treble is +1 or +2 and the mid is +3
  13. the lexus logo on your steering wheel peels off, swap it with the one under the bonnet on the air box use somethin sticky on the back you will find the fit isn't 100% but I'm happy with mine might wanna undo the fuse for the horn when stickin the badge on, I didn't, I was just careful not to press too hard some members acquired an air box logo rather than use their own, I just stuck the original rubbery one from the steering wheel onto the airbox when I had my 200
  14. I think if u call your local dealer and ask for one they'll be able to sort you out, i've noticed one of mine is very loose so I expect to lose it pretty soon, I might just glue mine down tho as I won't ever be taking it off anyway
  15. http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/insurance
  16. i'm sure theres a set on the bay and it includes the arm rest, i'll have another look as i'm not sure how long was left EDIT: Here you go: 170490875057
  17. heres a tip before the insurance comes to get the car take the kit off and sell it you'll get some good pennys for it.... anyway sad to here an other is is away but good luck with the s2000(i've always wanted one!!!) Gutted for you Nitro, yours was a nice example, wouldn't mind your side skirts if they come available...
  18. you would notice it due the the textured finish especially when the sun shines on it

    Which Wheels

just received the TTE ones and they do look better than the pic i've uploaded so i'm gonna upload the pic i've taken and i'd like a couple more opinions please
  20. no probably not, what they did at the end of the old model IS was offer free upgrades at point of sale, so theres a lot of 2004-2005 models with kits on from new for example the dealers (don't know if its all of them) are franchised so different dealers have different clearout deals from time to time, Lexus birmingham has a shop on ebay where they offload random stuff, their sport grilles are all £40, but I did get a centre cap for 99p with free post...
  21. the fibre glass ones can be a real pain to get a good fit unless you know someone who can work with fibreglass, they are still pricey from the dealers but normally no issues with actually getting hold of parts
  22. They look really good on your car, toyed with the idea myself as i've got dark side repeaters, but I think dark fogs would be ott on mine as its red, so they'd just clash with the tail lights I think, I do want to have my spoiler brake light darkened somehow

    Which Wheels

thats the way I was heading, but I do see lots about, or very similar ones, but I do think they are what i'll go for, thought about stickin 2 of each on either side and seein what opinions I got but its a waste of balancing and faffing havin the tyres swapped over lol
