  1. Is that Dav's car pre-registration white Carbon being driven by the ex-Stig? Hence why it has to spend most of it's life in the garage now recovering.
  2. I think there is only 'Expert' mode, (traction & VSC off etc.). To keep in context with the thread I tend to use Sport or Sport+ mode as I find the throttle more predictable.
  3. Well measurements all came from Parkers, so hopefully they did the same for all three.
  4. I understand why you may think this, but not sure I agree. Just looked up the dimensions out of interest. MK4 Supra RCF LC Length 4.515m 4.705m 4.770m Width 1.810m 2.070m 1.920m
  5. Agreed, I smell BS, which is disappointing from an official Lexus garage. Unless some detail is being lost along the way.
  6. Really? I'd like to hear the legal standpoint on that one as they have no right over your property and what you do with it. Sure if the existing MOT has expired and the car is deemed to be in an unsafe condition (a definition that could be a whole other can of worms) they can advise you not to drive it on the road as that would be illegal, they could even report you to the old bill, but they have no rights over your property. All IMO
  7. The one major part that was missing from that video...... How does the colour match to the remaining panels.
  8. I agree with this. Coincidentally I had a look around the ex-demonstrator currently for sale in Ipswich on Sunday and they are without a doubt a very nice car, nothing on the road comes close to such bold design, albeit the interior options are a bit naff. It would be a tough decision for me to trade in the RC-F for one, but if they had an LC-F that may be a different matter.
  9. Sorry, no chance. I've had it since 2001 and now starting to appreciate, so can't see me letting it go anytime soon. Even though the RCF is rarer than a UK spec Supra and worth more I'd still let the RCF go first.
  10. So like a few of you my RCF is my daily car, but I really don't do many miles in a year nowadays <4k. My pride & joy is my UK Spec MKIV Supra. And for track duty I have an old MR2, which is quite rough around the edges, but means I don't care if i run out of talent on an airfield or track somewhere
  11. No problem at all Stuart. Any excuse to go for a bit of a blast Glad it helped you answer all the questions you had, and although I'm biased, I don't think you will be disappointed.
  12. You may, but hundreds if not thousands will find that unacceptable time for such a journey in the 21st century.
  13. That could very well be the explanation. If the type of acid is not so strong it can take some time to have an affect.
  14. That article is 2yrs old. Look at the date at the top.
  15. Are you the first owner of the car?
  16. Hmmm I think many thousands of commuters would disagree with you there. People who think trains work (agreed a subset of public transport) I find generally do not have to rely on them daily during peak times. Also using public transport in other countries is a real eye opener.
  17. Oh look, LC owners will be able to purchase RC's for spares: A new analogue clock, identical to the one in the LC, sits high on the instrument panel in another identifying feature of Lexus coupes.
  18. That does look really good. 😎 I have all the stuff to do my car(i have a lot of Menrzerna polishes which I like) and keep thinking about it but i'm worried about thin paint on the edges. How did you get on around the back and the bumpers etc. where it's hard to fit the polisher?
  19. You make an assumption that it is somebody knowledgeable in the Lexus dealership adding the listings, it could just be some junior admin person in the back office doing it.
  20. Experience or rumour?
  21. High maybe, but not......
  22. I'm sure Michael will be along soon.....
  23. I agree with this, the RCF was there when I was buying mine back in May last year, along with a blue one i was interested in, and the ISF had just come in. Sounds like you had a similar sales experience to myself Simon, it was like going back in time
